Also download the captions whenever they're made available by Wistia.
⬇️ How to download a Wistia video with this extension?
Simply visit the page which contains the video, and once it's fully loaded, a download icon will appear in the corner of the video frame (might take a few seconds to show).
Click the icon and choose the resolution/version you want. The video will start downloading immediately.
This extension gives you access to any resolution from 240p to 8k, based on what's made available by the author of the video.

We had a death in the family and I was unable to attend the last 2 months of a mastermind series that does not have lifetime access, so I was scrambling to find the best way to download the recordings without having to screen record it real time with Camtasia. This was a LIFESAVER and TIMESAVER during this very stressful time. Even at the highest resolution, it only took 37 seconds to download each file rather than setting up Camtasia for 2.5 hours times 6 meetings! Whew! I have used previous Wistia download tips in the past that required digging into the source code and knowing what to look for. And even though I'm a retired rocket scientist, I do NOT enjoy being a computer scientist! Thank you for building this great extension!

- (2025-05-11) Joseph Koech: This is great. Some quick feedback: 1. Is it possible to select a specific download folder or remember the path the user chooses? It always defaulting to downlaod 2. Minor issue: select default video name as the name of the video while saving. Current, defaults to just save as 'video'. Thanks though!
