Google Scholar Venue Ranker (GSVR)
Extension Actions
Adds CORE conference tiers and SJR journal quartiles to Google Scholar publications using strict DBLP-only verification.
Tired of manually checking venue prestige? In Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, top conferences and journals are crucial, but their standing isn't always obvious
This Chrome extension overlays historical [CORE conference tiers](http://portal.core.edu.au/conf-ranks/) (2014–2026) and [SCImago Journal Rank (SJR) quartiles](https://www.scimagojr.com/) directly on Google Scholar profile pages. DBLP-assisted venue matching selects the appropriate CORE list by publication year and links journal titles to the right SJR dataset, so you instantly see A*, A, B, C or Q1–Q4 signals without leaving Scholar.
Save time and make informed assessments of research contributions in these conference-driven fields, perfect for researchers, students, and academic evaluators.

- not accurate. TOSEM is classified as Q2 journal while it has been Q1 journal since having the ranking. Unsure whether to trust this tool or not.

- Overall quality of the extension is good. But cannot find profiles of all the authors in google scholar. Hope the developer will look into it. I will comeback later to increase the ratings upon improvement.

- This is one of the most useful extensions for Chrome if you're an academic working in CS and other field were conferences are many times more important than journals. Integrating both SCIMAGO and CORE rankings in the same extension makes working with Scholar a breeze. Thanks for the amazing work.
