Tri Peaks Solitaire: A Challenging and Engaging Card Game
Tri Peaks Solitaire is a captivating card game that offers a unique solitaire experience, now available as an offline-capable Chrome extension. This game is free to play and can be enjoyed directly in your web browser, making it perfect for those who love card games.
Objective:
The goal of Tri Peaks Solitaire is to clear all the cards from the three peaks on the tableau. You achieve this by transferring cards from the tableau to the waste pile in a sequential manner, either one rank higher or lower than the current top card on the waste pile. For example, if the top card is a 7, you can play a 6 or an 8 on top of it.
Setup:
The game starts with a standard deck of 52 cards, dealt into three overlapping peaks. The top row of each peak contains three cards, the second row has six cards, the third row has nine cards, and the bottom row has ten cards. The remaining cards are placed in a facedown stockpile. The top card of the stockpile is flipped up to start the waste pile.
Gameplay:
- Use your cursor to select a card and the left mouse button to play it.
- Cards can be moved from the tableau to the waste pile if they are one rank above or below the current top card on the waste pile.
- Once a card is moved to the waste pile, it opens up the card below it in the tableau, making it playable.
- If no moves are possible, draw a card from the stockpile to continue playing.
- The game is won when all cards from the tableau are transferred to the waste pile, demolishing the three peaks.
