Ultimate Tic-Tac-Toe is the ultimate update to the beloved classic game we all love, now available as a offline-capable Chrome extension. This game is a perfect blend of strategy and fun, designed specifically for two players.
How to Play
In Ultimate Tic-Tac-Toe, the game board consists of nine 3x3 tic-tac-toe boards arranged in a larger 3x3 grid. Here’s how you can dive into the action:
- The first player, X, can place their piece anywhere on the 81 available squares.
- Subsequent moves are determined by the previous player's move. For example, if X places their piece in the upper left corner of a small board, O must play in the corresponding upper left small board.
- Players take turns placing X or O on one of the nine small boards, with the choice of the next board dependent on the previous move.
- A small board is won when a player gets three of their symbols in a row, column, or diagonal, just like in classic tic-tac-toe.
- Once a small board is won or completely filled, no more moves can be played on that board. If a player is sent to such a board, they can play in any other available board.
- The game ends when one player wins the larger board by winning three small boards, or when there are no legal moves left, resulting in a draw.
