HOW TO USE IT
1. Install YouSpeed from the Chrome Web Store.
2. Go to any YouTube video. You'll see the speed rate right in the player menu bar.
3. Use the speed button and commands right on the player or use the keyboard shortcuts to adjust playback speed.
4. See the current speed overlaid in the center of the video every time you change it.
5. Access YouSpeed's settings –by right-clicking the extension icon and choosing 'Options', or via the Chrome Extensions page– to set your default speed.

Q: "Does YouSpeed work on embedded or mobile YouTube?"
A: YouSpeed works on standard desktop YouTube videos in Chrome. It does not affect mobile apps or embedded videos outside youtube.com.
Q: "My shortcut keys don’t work!"
A: Go to "chrome://extensions/shortcuts" and set YouSpeed’s shortcuts to “Global” if you want them to work anywhere.
Q: "Can I use speeds outside YouTube’s menu?"
A: Yes! YouSpeed gives you fast access to speeds from 0.25× up to 3.00×, in 0.25 steps.

YouSpeed needs permission to access youtube.com pages to add its speed controls directly to the YouTube player. It also uses the storage permission to save your preferred speed settings locally in your browser.
