• (2023-07-15) Neil Laverdiere: I used to go to the upper right corner of my screen, click the menu, see "Bookmarks manager", and click that to find a specific website. That would take mere seconds. Can't do that now. I'm a home cook, and it's a total hassle to try to find a certain recipe, as the new "Bookmarks manager" makes it near impossible. It's a time-waster.
• (2022-12-28) Pat MySecret: 12/28/22 While I don't rate this extension well for the most part, it does do one thing unusually well. That is grouping/moving of bookmarks by keyword into a folder of your choosing. You don't get a lot of feedback in the process.. you don't see the folder it's going into, but if you typed the name right, items will go there. On the downside of that, if the keyword isn't very specific, you won't get a choice to sort, and could pull in unintended bookmarks w/o a way to undo. I will keep looking to see if there is another extension that does similar and will be a little safer in that regard. If you are looking to clean duplicates, use the extension "Bookmark Dupes" instead. 3/22 It is neither intuitive nor well-structured. You make a folder and you don't know where it goes (It goes under a folder that you name under the extension default folder "Aggregated Bookmarks") You can't click into your existing Bookmark Folders to place new bookmarks. Clicking the View Bookmark button will show your bookmarks like a tease, but you can't place the bookmark while in that operation. If you need to clean duplicates, save sessions, or sort by keyword, choose an extension meant for those purposes that is better constructed and isn't confusing.

Time consuming problem is that you can't delete a bookmark which has duplicate in a different folder directly in this app.

• (2019-06-04) Mike Rowave: OK, wow, I take back my earlier poor review. I now realize it's actually a lifesaver, and can be used to clean out the duplicates that keep propagating (which I think I may have finally fixed, btw). For example, I have multiple folders, some with nested subfolders. So like, a top level folder called "letters" (this is an example only, for simplicity sake), with (example) folders A, B, C (etc), and a top level folder called "numbers", with folders 1, 2, 3(etc). The problem was that I'd get multiple copies of "Letters" and it's contents under "Letters", and other copies within those, like Russian dolls that reproduce like Tribbles. And likewise with "Numbers" and every other folder. What made it worse is that some nested copies had more links in them than others, so I couldn't just delete all but one copy. I had no way of knowing which copy was a complete set, if any. Here's what to do: (1) Copy all the contents of each nested "Letters" folder (subfolders and all), up into the top level "Letters". Leaving one top level "Letters" with multiple A, B and C subfolders in it, and also all the links (and duplicate copies) that belong in the top level folder itself. (2) Delete all the (now empty) nested copies of "Letters". (3) In this app, click Organise > Manage > Clean > OK (4) You will find that all the duplicate links have been removed, and that all your "A" links will be in one "A" folder, and likewise with your B's etc. Note: The full/good folders will usually be the ones listed first. (5) Lastly, start from the bottom of your list and right click each folder to verify that it's empty and click delete. Note: The program says it will delete duplicate folders, but that doesn't seem to work. Maybe I'm doing it wrong.
• (2019-02-13) Victor Villacis: This app works great in managing hundreds of bookmarks. Note: You have to move all your bookmarks into the "Aggregated Bookmarks" folder the extension creates. Its power lies in the Organise feature. Once in there, the search keyword searches that "word" provided though the URL only, you then specify the name of a destination folder. The duplicate feature seems to work for only duplicates in the same folder. This extension def helped me.

• (2018-09-24) Patrick Callahan: I like it, but remove duplicates did not work for me. It found both duplicate bookmarks and folders, but clicking the button to remove them brings up a dialog. If you click Ok on the dialog, nothing happens.

  I think I want to use your extension but I am VERY unsure. I have alarge number of bookmarks and until THIS morning they all showed up when I opened Bookmark manager. But THIS morning when I opened the page, it was blank! PANIC!   Good day, Himanshu. You have a very nice & useful bookmark manager, and I am inquiring if it is somehow capable to use bookmarks stored in simple Windows folders. Please let me explain. I have about 10 Windows10 machines here at home, consisting of PCs and VMs. Bookmarks were a problem, especially when you multiply that by the number of different browsers. I have created folders for each of my PCs/VMs in my cloud (Sync.com), so I have access to those folders/subfolders on each of my PCs/VMs, and in those folders I have my bookmarks.in the respective PC/VM folders. In Internet Explorer it was simple, as I could point the Favorites folder from each PC's/VM's registry to Cloud.com. So from any of my PCs/VMs, in Internet explorer, I can see the favorites for all PCs/VMs. I have since changed browsers, and now use a Chromium-port called Iridium browser. Your Offline Bookmarks Manager works great in Iridium, however, I wish to be able to somehow point your Offline Bookmarks Manager to display & use my folders that are stored on Cloud.com. When I try to add a folder, I am only able to add a folder name. When I try to add a bookmark, for the URL, I tried to add the location of the folder containing my Internet Explorer bookmarks, such as: D:\Synchronizers\Sync\JMM\System\Favorites\Links\VM-Neptune However, your Offline Bookmarks Manager returns the error: This extension does not allow opening of local files as it requires a lot more access/permissions to do it. So use right click on it - it has normal right click, you can also try to drag and drop. So it would seem that your Offline Bookmark Manager is not able to do what I would like it to do. Is there perhaps an undocumented way that I can accomplish adding those folders? Is your settings or folder structure located somewhere within Windows10's file structure, such as in c:\AppData or c:\ProgramData, or in the Registry? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
