YouTube Picture-in-Picture
Extension Delisted
This extension is no longer available in the official store. Delisted on 2025-09-16.
Keep your YouTube videos visible at all times!
** I'm sorry to say that since Google have dropped support for "panels", we can no longer dock windows to the bottom of your screen. They will however, still appear in a new popup. Thanks, and sorry again!**
Play your YouTube videos over the top of your browser whilst doing other tasks!
- Just Click "Pop Out" at the top of the page for your video to appear in it's own window.
- Select a Playlist and click "Pop Out", and the player will run through all of the videos!
- On other websites, right-click a video to make it pop-out! It will work for almost any video, not just YouTube!
** IMPORTANT **
For this extension to work, you'll need to follow these steps:
1. Go to chrome://flags/#enable-panels and enable panels
2. Fully restart Chrome
** THIS EXTENSION WILL NOT WORK WITHOUT FOLLOWING THESE STEPS **
If you have any issues with this extension, please e-mail me. I would love for it to work for everybody! Thanks 8)

floating player is the best
Helpful tip for windows users, if you download a program called FileBox eXtender. You can still keep the windows on top.
Hi sir, it was helpful, but it won't work , i couldn't find out any option(panels) to enable it, please give me some information, thanks
not working at all
It just won't work for me! The option for picture-inpicture doesn't show up even if I followed the instructions!
i cant find the "pop up" option when i right click on a page. This happens when i click on the video itself or not. Great consept, i wish it would work for me.
This is actually ingenuous! I am always doing other things and missing what happens on my video I am watching. I would like it if it allowed me to switch the side it is on instead of keeping it to the left or just detaching it from chrome. other than that, fantastic!
Haven't found too many uses for it, but for what it is, it's nice!
