• (2021-08-04) Scott Anderson: It gets five stars for usability, the configs for various cameras are obscene but I have three various styles and it manages to view and control them all. There are some little nuances you need to overlook considering the breadth of covering brands and I'm still in the learning stage. Security isn't really an issue watching what its doing on the back end but for those who get crazy, install a different / compatible browser and use it without saving / entering passwords on secure sites. Its priced inexpensive for the value - really!

• (2020-04-14) Magnus W: The description needs to be clearer about the fact that it's only free to view the cameras in the popup that opens when you click the extension icon in the Chrome toolbar. Viewing cameras in a normal browser window - which is what I would expect that a Chrome extension would support by default - requires payment. Also, it doesn't seem to support RTSP, so it's useless for me anyway.

• (2019-09-04) Stanley Nelson: I am another user who used to really like this extension but lately things haven't gone well. I am using this extension on a Chromebox with Reolink and Jennov cameras. For some reason, the extension disappears from the toolbar, when I investigate Chrome reports it as corrupt. It has turned into a real hassle setting up the extension and finding the cameras. I reported this problem to the creator of the extension via separate email but he never responded. Meanwhile, every time I repair the extension I have to reactivate it and I suppose each of those activations count towards my 20 activation limit. The things I like about this extension is that you can use it with a wide variety of cameras. And what I really like is that you can put it on a tab. Other similar extensions want to take up your entire screen and you can't do nothing else. I can cast the picture on the MyIPCam tab to a Chromecast device connected to another monitor so I can then see what the camera sees full time, even when I am on a different tab on the Chromebox. Please fix the corruption problem.

It also is NOT free for anything other than a separate window. If this is what you want, and you're okay with getting nagged, it's free-ish.

• (2019-02-10) Just paid my 3 bucks. What is not to love about this program? It works, the GUI is simple and the price is more than acceptable. It setup very easily with my HikVision PTZ camera. A whole lot easier than setting up my HikVision was. The PTZ function works great, although I am not finding a manual zoom function. Great job Denis!

• (2018-09-18) Quincy Edmonds: I found this app to be one of my now new favorite apps so far. those of you who's having trouble: 1st refresh or change your browser or reboot system this will help clear out any data or allow any updates needed for you system: 2nd make sure you are typing in Ip address in correctly and port number should look something like this 192.168.1.1:8080 the 5th number will change when rebooting you system and the last four are your port number which you will enter right below the Ip address. One last thing if you go to Advance Setting at the top of the first page then hit the MJPEG VIDEO input the required info and auto scan, your image will pop up in real time video so make sure all your devices are compatible with the app and that your streaming on the correct network. Thanks for taking time to read this post and I hope that I was able to help anyone in seeking a simple solution.

  Hello, I own 3 Reolink RLC 810-A cameras that worked fine for many months. Reolink just released a new firmware which is a real improvement for the camera and picture quality but sadly seems to break up the function of your Chrome extention. The firmware v3.1.0.764 was release on January 20, 2022. Do you have any plans to set up an update of your software, so the latest firmware of Reolink is supported again? Kind regards, Karim

  Several weeks ago there was a change. When I click on the MyIPCam extension the image displays as usual. When I click on the image, rather than display a larger version of the image (plus controls) it displays a larger version of only the left half of the image. Normally, I only use https connection to all my cameras. Cam model: Foscam v.3 ...... PTZ (Pan/Tilt) type: Foscam V2 Description: https Recently I purchased three new Foscam cameras (R2). Basically, I still can connect Foscam R2 cameras with the same settings as Foscam FI9821P cameras. However, the https connection no longer works with R2 cameras. I only can use http connection for R2 cameras. I have no problem to use Internet Explorer (with official foscam plugin) to connect to both models of cameras by using https connection. I am wondering if you can show me how to change some settings of MyIPCam App to make https connection work again with R2 cameras. Thank you very much!!

  Hi, I am using the "paid" version of the app. I am using it to view a collection of hikvision cameras all of which have a fixed IP addresses. I am running the app on a chromebox as a chrome extension and displaying 8 cameras in a window. The problem is that initially all the camera feeds are showing in the window. Then perhaps after a minute, the screen refreshes. At which point maybe 1 or 2 of the camera images don't reconnect. Which leaves those positions on the screen with blank camera view. I then have to wait until the window refreshes again, and hope the missing camera feeds reconnect. I don't think the issue is a settings problem - because it affects different camera feeds each time. Have you seen this problem before? And is there a solution/improvement you can suggest please? Best Regards, Ed.

The problem is that the video times out to the large camera icon with the green dot. I then need to select the icon to get the image to display again. How do I set this up to keep the connection?
