Factually is a tool to help you combat misinformation online. The goal is not to tell you what to think, who to trust or to paint the world in black and white. Rather, we want to facilitate your research, explore a variety of sources and help you draw your own high-quality conclusions.
Powered by LLM's
We use LLMs (AI like ChatGPT) to extract the claims from your prompt. We then perform a web search to identify relevant, reliable sources, analyze them, and generate a summary of the results while citing the sources behind each piece of information. You can and should verify any information yourself using the source links. For more information, refer to the FAQ Page.
Giving you the full context
As expected, the vast majority of people use Factually to fact-check political/social/economic claims, which rarely have a straightforward answer. In order to present a more complete and balanced view of the topics at hand, Factually intentionally tries to source information from both established media (AP, Reuters, BBC, etc.) as well as more niche outlets.
