A simple, effective download manager for Edge (MV3). This extension updates the browser’s download icon based on current download status:
Blue: Default, cleared downloads, or cancelled downloads
Yellow: Download in progress
Green: Download complete
Version 5.0 – New Features & Improvements (May 1, 2025):
- Dark Mode support has been added for downloads UI.
- Finnish and English language support for localized UI
The artwork showcases the default english localization in dark mode.
(Note: Versions 5.1, 5.2, 5.5 and 7.0 mainly consisted of bug fixes, with individual download clearing option added in 5.2, with some code/UI reworking in 7.0 for better visibility of download progress texts)
⚠️ Manifest V3 Limitations
Due to limitations and bugs in Chromium's Manifest V3 extension system, this extension may sometimes fail to load the popup or background scripts after install, update, or browser restart.
**If the popup is blank or doesn't work/hangs:**
1. Try closing and reopening the popup.
2. Try restarting your browser.
3. If it still doesn't work, remove and reinstall the extension. Although there are cases when even that might not resolve issues.
> **Note:** This is a Chromium/Manifest V3 issue and affects many extensions. There is currently no guaranteed fix.
