This is a modernized version of Kevin Xu's Mark All As Read extension that has been retired from the store years ago due to incompatibility with the updated Chrome Browser Extension policies.
With a click of a button, this open sourced extension will mark all links on the page as read, quickly and efficiently. Nothing more, nothing less.
If visited links do not style as visited, a work around solution is to set the following flag as disabled:
chrome://flags/#partition-visited-link-database-with-self-links
Disable this flag and restart. The links will then correctly be added to the visited link database and thus style as visited.

- (2025-08-10) John Ahn: Super glad this one is back, I was missing it after it disappeared completely last month from my extension list. This one is actually better than the old one because I found the "click again to mark everything unread" super annoying and took forever to mark UNread. I only need to mark links as READ not UNREAD. Bravo, this one does not mark things unread, it only marks links as read.
