A modern fork of the original Tab Position Options extension, updated for Chrome Manifest V3 with enhanced security and performance.

- (2025-08-06) Mike Gorman: This is the only one that works and has all of the basic functions. I had been using three different extensions to get all of the functions I wanted. The only problem I'm having is on browser start-up the configured tabs are in a different order.
- (2025-08-04) Jeff Kang: Thanks for forking the old Tab Position Options, and making it work with Manifest V3. I prefer to open tabs “right of current tab” instead of “always last” to help make it so that tapb that are close to each other are related.
- (2025-07-30) James Barr: Simple extension that lets me choose where opening and closing tabs go to, it's crazy how many "premium" tab extensions don't have these basic features.
- (2025-07-30) sss sss: Doesn't work as expected. Tab closing configured activate left tab, but activates different tabs, I still don't understand what system.

- (2025-07-24) Sonic: The previous plugin has been in use for years and is not working because Google dropped mv2. Still buggy, restarting the browser reveals that some tab positions move to the last position, hopefully fixed. Thanks to the author! First comment :)
