This web extension adds a "Download Image" button, and restores the "View Image" button to Google Image Search™ results again. When you select an image, you may choose to download or view the image. These additional buttons will appear next to the other usual buttons.

Michael Troester 2022-02-05: Tricked by the nearly 5 star rating... this app was last updated a year and a half ago and, unsurprisingly, doesn't work on the current iteration of Google Image Search. BOO! 😠 Or... maybe the 20-odd extensions I have are interfering with it? Dev, feel free to read me the riot act if this is a bug of my own making...

Also has the Download Image option along side the natural View Image. I am very pleased and my thanks goes out to the developer for not abandoning this extension. You earned 5 stars easily.
