Tired of scrolling through 100+ dropdown items just to find the field you need in PowerSchool?
PS Droplist Search adds an instant search box to long dropdown lists, letting you type any part of the option to filter results. No more guessing the first letter or scrolling endlessly.
Key Features:
- Works instantly on PowerSchool pages (powerschool.com / powerschool.org).
- Search matches anywhere in the option text, not just the beginning.
- Default triggers on dropdowns with 30+ items (configurable in settings).
- Lightweight and fast — no tracking, no unnecessary code.
Why I built it:
PowerSchool’s field selector menus can have over a hundred items, and you often can’t type more than the first letter to search. This extension makes it quick and intuitive to find exactly what you need.
Usage on non-PowerSchool sites:
For now, it is limited to one-time temporary click to enable in order to not run automatically on every page you visit. I plan to update the tool to have an allowed url shortlist (with /* capability) to allow for sustained usage on any site the user decides.
Disclaimer: I am not associated with PowerSchool, and this is not an official PowerSchool product.
