Consent Manager (PrivacyCloud) combina la protección de tu privacidad con una mejora palpable en la experiencia de consumo de contenidos digitales, eliminando un porcentaje creciente de faldones y pop-ups destinados a recabar tu consentimiento para servir cookies publicitarias o de perfilado de audiencias.
El nuevo Reglamento General de Protección de Datos (“GDPR” en inglés) establece un nuevo umbral para el consentimiento inequívoco e informado, exigiendo una acción positiva de aceptación de cookies.
Del mismo modo que medios, anunciantes, y empresas de todas las industrias hacen uso de sistemas de gestión de consentimiento para establecer condiciones y fórmulas de aceptación de cookies, Consent Manager hace lo propio desde el lado del consumidor: evitando el tedioso trabajo manual de repasar las condiciones específicas e instrucciones para el rechazo de cookies en cada sitio web.
Consent Manager equivale a un “No a todo” por defecto. Tienes en cualquier caso la opción de excluir un particular sitio web de esta regla genérica y articular tu voluntad de aceptación de ciertas cookies.
¿Hay forma de saber si las webs a que accedemos siguen sirviendo cookies a pesar de haber declinado su aceptación expresa mediante Consent Manager? Sí, la propia extensión cuenta con un sistema de alerta que nos avisa de que estamos en una web que no respeta la normativa (ni el principio de transparencia con el usuario), al estar sirviendo cookies a pesar de haberse evitado el proceso destinado a su aceptación expresa.

I love that this plugin does not simply accept the cookies but rejects them!

- (2021-03-21) Steve Wright: This extension is kind of effective, on some sites, but for me it is more annoying than the cookie popups themselves as it removes the banner when you open the site, but it flashes on the screen every time you click another link on the website. I feel it's quicker and a better experience to just decline the cookies manually.

- (2020-08-14) Daniel Ljungqvist: Been using this for 2 days. I even did a full browser history delete to try it out. I don't think this extension has worked on any website I've tried it on yet, either that, or I am doing something wrong. It does say that "This site seems to be serving 3rd party cookies, which you never accepted." but it still displays the Cookie banners on the websites.
