How it works (high level)
Samples browser performance data and tab activity at intervals.

No external servers. No ad tracking. No third-party analytics.
Accuracy & limitations
All energy and CO₂ numbers are estimates. Actual usage varies by device, OS, GPU/CPU, workload, and power plans. Use this as a directional compass, not a utility bill.
Permissions we request
activeTab – to run on the tab you interact with and read basic tab info for tips.
storage – to save your local history and settings.
alarms – to schedule lightweight sampling.
downloads – to export your data when you ask for it.
We do not request broad host permissions and we do not collect personal data.
Data safety (summary)
