Clean up your search results, discover better games, and keep Roblox browsing clutter-free, all on your own terms.
The Roblox Charts (formerly Discover) page has been cluttered with slop, low quality, exploitive games and many users of the platform have gotten sick of it, me included!
Roblox Game Filter helps you take control of your Roblox browsing experience by filtering out unwanted games based on keywords you choose.
Add your keywords in one of three simple ways:
1. Manually: Type them directly into the filter list.
2. Import from Pastebin: Load keywords from a Pastebin URL.
3. Upload/Export a Text File: Quickly import your saved keyword list from device to device.
You can customize how filtered games appear with:
- Hide Mode: Completely removes matching games from the site.
- Warn Mode: Greys them out and shows a warning if you click.
The extension also features two style options for the popup window; modern and classic. Both are inspired by Roblox's UI style, just different eras!
Clean up your search results, discover better games, and keep Roblox browsing clutter-free, all on your own terms.

- Before I describe anything, I want to point out that my intent isn't to offend, just to point out the issues I've noticed, especially since no one else seems to be leaving reviews: I don't understand why this extension is featured, given the quality of its build falls significantly short of alternatives like light "Roblox Game Blocker" or for more advanced users "The Filter They Forgot for Roblox". The concept is good, but the implementation raises serious concerns that truly impact security and user experience. The extension doesn't filter certain elements on the homepage, meaning it simply doesn't work as intended. Despite this, it requests access to the entire domain ://roblox.com/*, which theoretically gives it access to all your Roblox data, including account details. This is an unnecessary risk that could expose you to account theft and even infection of your entire computer if the extension is hijacked by a malicious actor or someone connects to you via the Roblox APIs, which is possible with such broad access. Importing .txt files and data from Pastebin works without any validation. Someone could upload a malicious file or link that would inject malicious code directly into the Roblox website. The lack of data sanitization and Content Security Policy means you're vulnerable to XSS attacks that can steal your session cookies and take over your account. And, I want to emphasize that this isn't a theoretical risk; it's a real vulnerability that I've tested myself and something I believe every person who graduated from computer science school would be able to abuse. The extension uses chrome.storage.sync, which has a limit of several MB. Adding more filters will quickly reach that limit and the extension will stop working. Worse still, you won't receive any error messages; your filters will simply stop being saved. Saving each filter separately eats up performance and slows down the browser, especially with a large number of filters. The lack of error handling means that if something goes wrong (no internet connection, saving error), you'll lose all your filters without warning. The Clear All button deletes everything with a single click without confirmation, meaning an accidental click could erase hours of filter configuration work. With prolonged use, you'll encounter storage limitations that prevent you from adding new filters. The extension doesn't have a backup mechanism, so if you exceed the limit or encounter an error, you'll lose your entire list without the option to recover. The absence of a clear Roblox trademark disclaimer may mislead users into believing the product is official, giving them a false sense of security. It can also expose the extension author to legal issues due to the use of logos or descriptions that are not properly explained anywhere. And no, the mere presence of a small notice that appears only after installing the extension, especially hidden in a non default tab, does not make it a legally binding disclosure. Given all of the above, I believe alternatives offer far better security, stability, and functionality. In its current state, I can’t recommend this extension if you care about account safety and reliable filtering. If the developer takes this feedback seriously, I may return in a few weeks to update this review.
