Description from store Read Tab Later helps prevent you from having a tab bar packed with pinned tabs that you "might" read later. It does this by providing you with a button to simply pin the current tab you want to save for later to the New Tab page. Upon opening up a new tab, you'll find screenshots of each of the pages you pinned for later and can click any of them to quickly navigate to that page. If no pages have been pinned, a design related quote is presented instead.

Hi, I would like to suggest the pin icon has a saved state (like a colour change) to confirm the page was saved for reading later.
  • (2015-06-26, v:1.0) file:/// & chrome:// links (Read Tab Later)
Hey Ryan, really like your extension, just what I've been looking for, beautiful in it's simplicity. Just one tiny suggestion, I like pinning chrome:// and local file:/// pages on my start page (like local web projects, reminder.txt's, chrome settings etc.) - but those won't open if you just assign normal 'href's to the links. You can easily change that (without having to extend any permissions) by adding pagePreviewLink.addEventListener("click", function(event) { event.preventDefault(); chrome.tabs.create({url:url}) }) somewhere in createURLFigure. I first just replaced the href assignment but that somehow broke removePage() or something with the storage read out, I wasn't able to delete pages after that, so I kept it in and added preventdefault(), this way it works fine. Keep up the nice work! Greetings from Berlin Anatol
