  • (2023-10-31) Douglas Copeland: Seems to still work on the homepage, but appears to have stopped working when letting youtube autoplay. I've been ina loop of watched videos for a while now if im not managing it directly
  • (2023-10-17) mephone real: um idk when this was last updated bc it doesn't work at all, it still shows all my watched videos
  • (2023-09-15) Dvasa Vertik: Sort of works as in it's hiding the videos you've watched before but still leaves an empty space where the videos originally appeared. So it doesn't remove them from the window at all to replace them with fresh content I haven't seen yet, it's only a cosmetic fix.
  • (2023-08-29) G: Не работает после обновления ютуба как и многие подобные расширения
  • (2023-08-15) OstepopSalat: useful
  • (2023-06-06) Kieran Bacon: It does not work, as in, its clear that videos still appear that show partial or almost fully watched.
  • (2023-04-26) Jean: The extension is no longer working properly, even though it used to work well before.
  • (2023-04-21) Hammou HOUDJEDJE: just what i needed. Thank you!
  • (2023-03-22) Chimerat: Used to work just fine, but it appears to have stopped working (either in whole or in part) sometime in the last day.
  • (2023-01-31) The Universe: ya no funciona :(
  • (2023-01-19) Russell Jackson: 素晴らしい。 1%に設定すると全部消せる。
  • (2023-01-07) Sons of Anakin: Does exactly what it says on the tin. Once I figured out how to switch it ON, it worked great. It really should be ON by default, it'd probably save all the negative reviews from people who couldn't get it to work.
  • (2022-12-20) Violet Shadow: WORKS
  • (2022-12-14) Alex Oja: Doesn't do anything. Settings don't change anything either.
  • (2022-12-01) てんてん: 視聴済み動画がリストアップされる
  • (2022-10-17) Irna: Works as intended, view threshold is also neat feature to keep those 'clicked on' videos that haven't been fully watched yet but of course can also be removed if desired.
  • (2022-10-03) Glen Koundry: It doesn't seem to do anything. My home screen still is full of videos I've already watched.
  • (2022-09-19) chris cauwelier: I write this before I test it, but 'keep your money and enjoy' is gold and for that alone worth 5 stars. Cheers!
  • (2022-09-15) Timo: A very nice extension for YQ, but sadly read in the FAQ: "Where can I donate? • Nowhere. Keep your money and enjoy!" -> Guess I will enjoy and cry but smiling and enjoying unviewed videos.
  • (2022-09-10) jedics: Installed extension and refreshed youtube and it was showing video's I had already watched in the first two rows..Why is it so hard to filter out something so basic, youtube has become almost as repetitive as regular tv, I left tv because I want to be in control of what I watch NOT someone else...
  • (2022-09-01) John Martin: Only 5 per day unless you pay. GREED! No thanks!
  • (2022-08-03) Chairman Meow: Does not work for me, i still get videos with that red line under that means you already seen the video.
  • (2022-07-14) Thành Hưng Phan: Does this work on YouTube Shorts?
  • (2022-07-09) Edward Partenie: Perfect!
  • (2022-06-05) Alexandte RFST: The only bad thing is that the videos we've watched long ago come back after a while.
  • (2022-05-29) Hang Up: does what it's supposed to do, only thing is it just removes the video from the row without actually rearranging anything, just leaves a blank space
  • (2022-05-28) Jan Zaharov: Все заявленные функции работают слаженно и чётко. Приложение очень качественное, много функциональное, заслуживающее внимания. Спасибо, Всё- Super!!!
  • (2022-05-02) R4v3nw1ng: Wished for something like this a long time ago, finally found the holy grail I was looking for. Thank you very much to the Dev for making this!! <3<3<3<3<3<3
  • (2022-04-11) Riku Nakamura: Actually works and visibly removes stuff in your homepage. Mine's now mostly blank due to how often YouTube recommends already watched videos.
  • (2022-04-09) Martin Damn: It's decent I'd say. Currently, it doesn't work for Shorts that are in your subscription page. And it would be really helpful if there was a button which you could use to manually hide videos or mark them as watched. Maybe by right-clicking the thumbnail. The rest works fine.
  • (2022-04-07) Meowmeow “Meow” Meow: Doesn't work at all. I installed this because my homepage is all videos I've seen before. Installed the extension, refreshed Youtube, still all the same videos that I've seen before. This extension just doesn't seem to have had any effect, and I'm confused why because the most recent update was only a couple months ago.
  • (2022-03-21) Liam Munday: I'd love the ability to hide videos in your subscriptions that are 1 month old or more.
  • (2022-03-14) Christian Lane: This extension legit saved youtube from me, if the algorithim decides you like watching repeat views they will not stop sending you the same content. My only feature request is a small button on the recomendations for each to mark it "watched" in freshview for the few videos that get through (probably not the fault of extension at all to be clear likely videos I watched signed out etc)
  • (2022-02-14) Nikolai Oulanov: it doesn't work on Chrome / Windows 10
  • (2022-02-04) Bayram Sasmaz: bununla chrome yavaşladı
  • (2022-01-09) Taylor Ding: I have been looking for extension like this for ages! It works so well! I would recommend it to everybody!
  • (2022-01-09) Blue: Great extension that works too well! I really wish there was an optional toggle to 1) Not hide videos on channel pages 2) Not hide specific videos (whitelist)
  • (2021-12-25) Erin Saxton: Great extension, I watch a ton of podcasts on YouTube so its great for me, I just wish it would hide them in the suggestions too. Then it would be perfect!
  • (2021-12-21) James Inage: EDIT: Developer Released an update fixing the issue, amazing stuff! 5/5! Was one of my favorite addons but no longer seems to work :( I really hope dev sees and is able to fix it, would love to see it working again and return to 5 stars
  • (2021-12-06) Umbra TuSlayer: Works well and removes one of my many hates about Youtube.
  • (2021-11-25) Davis Bentley: Stopped working after a few weeks of use.
  • (2021-11-19) Lost Entertainment: does not work anymore
  • (2021-11-18) Ege Atilla: It's simple and it works, my YouTube experience has gotten a lot better. Edit: Recently the extension stopped working and watched videos are still visible. Needs a fix. Temporarily dropping a star.
  • (2021-11-18) Ronald Liles: Please update this. It's hit or miss now.
  • (2021-11-18) Federico Pullarà: stopped working apparently
  • (2021-11-10) Ddday14: Recently attempted using this only to discover when enabled on a channel, will show you the same videos on repeat. Very strange.
  • (2021-08-19) Markus Andersson: This addon is exactly what I have been looking for.
  • (2021-08-04) John Bray: Works for me. The filter by %age watched is very helpful.
  • (2021-07-27) Yensama Yen: doesnt work
  • (2021-07-20) Ivo: Es justo lo que buscaba

  • (2022-09-01, v:2.1.0) John Doe: Doesn't seem to be working
Doesn't seem to be working, I was using another similar but seemingly not as good extension because it didn't work on anything but subscriptions, and it recently updated to require access to "all websites", which I didn't like so I switched to this. So maybe something YouTube did recently made these kinds of extensions stop working. It might need an update.

  • (2022-03-19, v:2.1.0) John Bray: Does not hide shorts
I love the extension, but sadly it does not hide YouTube shorts, even if I watch a few seconds of the horrid things to pass my %age threshold
  • (2022-03-09, v:2.1.0) gd5830: doesn't work
I installed the extension on chrome, even restarted chrome but my recommendations are still littered with videos I already fully watched (full red line at the bottom of the video thumbnail). Anything I might have missed?
  • (2022-02-24, v:2.1.0) J: Shows hidden video titles
when you view the subscription page you still see the titles. https://www.youtube.com/feed/subscriptions?flow=2
  • (2022-01-30, v:2.0.4) Jake Canning: I think the default behavior should ignore the following...
By default the app (when toggled on) hides watched videos on seemingly every page except history. It makes sense why it should ignore watched videos on history because history is like an archive; you're going there to find something specific rather than discover something new. That reasoning is why I think the app should by default not try to hide videos on search results pages or channels either. Imo it should only hide videos on pages which are designed for discovering/getting recommended new content. This would include the homepage, the explore page, subscriptions, and watch pages because of the sidebar.
  • (2022-01-02, v:2.0.4) Justice Seeker: Live streams
Please consider not filtering live streams, or perhaps a toggle/option to not filter, as YT will often show active live streams as 100% watched even if not actively watching the stream. Not sure if this happens from clicking through previously or just random but it does mean listing currently streaming videos with the filter enabled will result in some videos being hidden in spite of their still being live. Awesome extension. 👍
  • (2021-12-14, v:2.0.4) Crocodilus CZ: it hides the videos you watched but the home page is half empty.
Hey. Hey, it looks like the extension works, it hides the videos you watched but the home page is half empty. Is it possible to do something about it please? It seems that the videos that the extension hides are not replaced by any new video. Thanks
  • (2021-11-25, v:2.0.3) Chimerat: Does not hide videos on Home screen anymore
It still appears to hide recommendations along the side of the screen when I'm watching videos, but it no longer hides watched videos on the Home screen.

  • (2021-11-06, v:2.0.3) Francis Gastellu: Option to enable only on main YT page
Great extension, though I wish there was an option to only enable it on the main YouTube page and keep it disabled when I look at a channel (or even the subscription page, i.e., ti keep it only activated for "youtube.com", but not "youtube.com/anythingelse"). Hopefully you will consider that for a future version, but in any case, nice work :)
  • (2021-10-31, v:2.0.3) Richard Pitts: Account Swapping
I've been using an old email for YouTube for years. I finally decided to swap to my email with all my paid Google services. All the videos the extension used to "know" I had watched are now showing up as if I have not watched them. Is there a way to apply what the extension "knows" to my newer email?
  • (2021-06-08, v:2.0.3) Fuzzy D: Manually Hiding Videos
Hi, is there a way to manually tell the program a video has been watched so it hides it? I want to hide a video without watching it first. I've seen on another app that there's a button in the corner of the thumbnail for the video to click on so it's marked as watched and then hides it as normal. thanks.
  • (2021-04-30, v:2.0.3) Matthew Correia: why does it need access to my browsing history? seems unrelated to hiding watched videos, considering that information is stored in YouTube
why does it need access to my browsing history? seems unrelated to hiding watched videos, considering that information is stored in YouTube. i understand why it needs access to my activity on YouTube, so that part is fine, but i don't want to give unrestricted access to my general browsing history over to this add-on.
  • (2021-03-02, v:2.0.3) Jack O: Hide "Mix" playlists

  • (2021-02-07, v:2.0.3) User: Locked pages list.
What do you think of adding an option that lists all the pages affected by the "Lock the Hide Videos toggle on this page" button?
  • (2021-02-01, v:2.0.3) Emm Gee: Is it possible to affect the next video suggestion when autoplay is enabled?
I assume it would be something involved like calling yt's open api (if they have one, have never looked for it) for the logged in viewer to continuously get the "next recommendation" until finding one with a "viewed%" under the threshold, but I think as well that you would get into yt cycles of recommendations (like you can currently easily do if you continuously click the "|>" button on the player), so then you would have to respond with "not interested . i've already seen this" to perhaps get a fresh recommendation? or you could just swap out the "next" video with one from the "recommendation list" (which is already filtered by the extension). Just a thought since I use youtube for background noise (probably an extremely common scenario), and don't want to run into cycles for auto-playing the same videos. Playlists are okay since that's a choice to watch a series of videos someone else set up, but yeah. Generally YT does a good job of generically auto-playing the next video in a series (especially when it has a similar title, or playing videos by upload date to the channel... come to think of it, I don't think there's an inherent "uploads" playlist unless the channel maker creates it -- so autoplay works as this for now) In essence, I'm asking if such a thing is possible. Thanks
  • (2021-01-28, v:2.0.3) FirstName LastName: Missing videos from everywhere.
Hi, I don't know if it's intentional or not, but when this extension is active then watched videos completely disappear from everywhere, like from searches, and from the uploader's own page, etc. Until I just figured this out just now I thought that videos would only disappear from YouTube recommendations, so that I'm not getting recommended videos that I've already watched.. It would be nice to have an option for videos to just disappear from recommendations only, but to still appear when you go looking for them specifically. Or to at least make people aware of that the videos will completely disappear from everywhere when they use this extension. I mean, people often go looking for videos that they've watched previously, and for them to be completely invisible is probably not good.

When i right click or left click on the icon, all i get is the same options, no user interface to change the settings. I'm using Vivaldi 3.2.1967.47 (Stable channel) (64-bit) on Windows 10.
  • (2020-08-28, v:1.3.2) Ireallyreally Hategoogle: Control and database
The overview says: "What can I control? - The visibility of viewed YouTube™ videos via the "Hide Videos" checkbox. - The minimum watch progress of a viewed YouTube™ video via the "View Threshold" slider." I see no checkbox or slider. How can i keep my database of watched videos from one installation to the next? We all know Youtube doesn't keep many videos in the watched history.
