AdVault – Smart Ad Blocker

AdVault is a focused, privacy-first ad blocker designed for people who want clean pages, faster browsing, and zero accounts or tracking.

It combines Chrome’s modern Declarative Net Request engine with a custom YouTube helper and a minimal UI that shows you one simple truth: how many ads have been stopped from reaching you.

What AdVault does

Blocks common ad and tracker domains using Chrome’s built-in rules engine (Manifest V3).

Helps hide and skip many YouTube ads by cleaning up overlays and reacting to ad states in the player.

Shows you a running total of ads blocked across all sites in a clean, compact popup.

Works out of the box after install – no account, no syncing, no complicated setup.

Lightweight: no heavy background scripts making constant network decisions; Chrome’s own engine does the heavy lifting.

Privacy by design

No logins, no cloud, no analytics SDKs.

All stats (like your total ads blocked) are stored locally in the browser using chrome.storage.local.

No browsing history or personal data is sent to any server.

You stay in control

You choose when to use it: enable, disable, or remove the extension at any time.

Because it’s built on Manifest V3, you can see exactly which permissions it uses in Chrome.

Notes

Some sites, including YouTube, constantly change how they deliver and detect ads. AdVault will do its best to reduce interruptions, but you may still see some ads or anti-adblock messages.

This is an early version and will continue to evolve with better rules, smarter behavior, and more control options over time.
