When you do a Google Search, the URL in Chrome's omnibox is really long and contains many indecipherable parameters. When you want to pass along a link to another person, these parameters need not be included. This extension strips away all such parameters and cleans the URL, making it shorter in the process.
This extension does *not* create a separate goo.gl URL for your query; it only removes some non-critical parameters from a regular Google Search URL.
[NEW] Permissions for v1.1: The latest version replaces the URL in the URL bar instead of popping up a separate window to copy/paste the shorter URL. This requires permissions to access *.google.com URLs.
