Detailed description:
GNTD: Glass New Tab Dashboard turns your default new tab into a clean, customizable workspace for everyday browsing.
Features:
Fast search directly from the new tab page.
Search uses the Chrome Search API and respects your default search engine.
Widgets for tasks, notes, weather, date/time, map, favorites, and bookmarks.
Flexible layout customization: hide, restore, and rearrange widgets.
Custom backgrounds: upload photo/video from your device or set media by URL.
Personal settings: light/dark theme, time format, temperature unit, and more.
Quick bookmark adding via extension icon and context menu.
Multilingual interface (including English, Russian, and Chinese).
Privacy and permissions:
Uses storage to save your settings and widget data.
search permission is required to run searches from the new tab page.
tabs and contextMenus are used for quick bookmark actions.
Geolocation is requested only when you enable weather/map features.
Cloud sync and authentication use the app’s API service.

- After the update, this extension is kind of broken: 1.The background picture is gone. 2.The "new tap" cost a bunch of times to open; and some of the widget doesn't work at all. 3.Isntead of open a tap, the bookmarks now open websites at the tap itself. Really like this thing when it works, thanks for create such a great extension, looking forward when it's fixed. :)

- Really great extension — the design and functionality are top-notch 🔥 It would be awesome to have a button in Favorites to display items in a single line. Also, a toggle in settings to open Favorites in the current tab instead of a new one would be really convenient.

- This extension is honestly amazing, the ui, the hud, all the feature's i'm suprised i didn't know about this sooner, i recommend you trying this out atleast once, it's makes chrome's otherwise boring layout so much better and the wallpapers you can put on this, all the widgets are just so amazing, all of it work's so good together. this is atleast a 5 out of 5, if this wasn't free i'd pay for it

- Great UI design for the new tab ever. Unfortunately, after I complete a bunch of bookmarks and setups, I cannot find my settings on another computer... I hope there will be an exporting and importing function for this app in the near future.

- Would be great to keep the option of the Google Apps icon on the top right or make it configurable so it's easier to access the other Google services without needing to use a bunch of the favorites or having to go into the bookmarks tab. And make it easier to switch between Google accounts as well (not sure if this will affect the extension)

- its a good, its clean and customisable, however, i have a problem where i have two moniters with two different resolutions so when i switch the tab from one another the tab is bigger but the widgets stay the same, in simple terms, there is a rectangular box that is just hollowed out, it would be a great fix.

- yo, im a user of gntd, and i just want to say, can you change a little bit in the part, when I click the favorite web button, it is in the same tab and not a different tab, sometimes it bothers me when I'm too lazy to search in the search bar and I have to click the favorite button and I realize I'm getting lazier when the tab increases by 1, besides your extension is cool man, if possible all the widgets can be enlarged and reduced according to our wishes :)

- the new update on feb 14th caused a few visual bugs with a few widgets (like clock getting cut off and not showing 24 hr clock properly, and more)

- It's a great extension but i have a issue with resizing it and moving my chrome in different monitors, the widgets are not moved accordingly and stay on the same place that was set in the original screen size which result's in going out of the screen borders or moving to the middle.

- Accidentally found this plugin. Works amazing on Edge. Seems there's a resolution limitation when using uploaded image. Not sure if it's an Edge issue, I'm having trouble to resize widget under customize mode. Also, would be nice to have features like selecting folder(s) or multiple files as customize background image with loop or shuffle. Other than that it's working perfect! No ads. No subscription required!

- Love it! took me awhile to customize things except the background :( but everything else is good but i want to change background in my choice! if there's a option of it help through it!
