[Overview]

Have you ever tried to select text on a video caption, a protected website, or inside a link, only to find it impossible?

This extension removes those barriers. It allows you to force-select and copy any text on the web—including video captions, link text, and copy-protected content—just like normal text.

[Solves These Common Frustrations]

This extension enables you to select and copy text types that browsers normally restrict:

Hyperlink Text: Normally, dragging a link moves the element instead of selecting the text. This tool lets you highlight specific words inside a link.
Video Captions & Subtitles: Select text from overlays on YouTube, Netflix, and other streaming platforms where text is usually unclickable.
Buttons & Interactive Elements: Copy text from buttons or menu items without triggering a click action.
Protected Content: Bypass "user-select: none" CSS properties and JavaScript restrictions on sites that block copying.

[Key Features]

Select Unselectable Text: Easily select video captions (YouTube, TikTok, etc.) and text on copy-protected websites.
Link Text Selection: Select specific parts of a hyperlink's text without opening the link.
Element Spanning: Smoothly select text across different paragraphs, lists, and layout elements.
Auto-Copy: The moment you release your mouse, the selected text is automatically copied to your clipboard.

[Important Note: What Cannot be Selected]

This extension works on text rendered as HTML code. Therefore, text embedded inside images cannot be selected.

❌ Text inside image files (JPG, PNG, GIF, etc.)
❌ PDFs
❌ "Burned-in" subtitles that are part of the video file itself
(This extension does not provide OCR/Image-to-Text capabilities.)

[How to Use]

The operation is simple and intuitive:

Long-press your mouse button (left click) on any text, link, or caption for 0.5 seconds.
Once "Selection Mode" activates, simply drag your mouse to highlight the text you want.
Release the mouse button. The text is automatically copied to your clipboard, and a notification will appear.
