Description from store PasteQuery is a simple extension that creates a shortcut or "hot key" for searching the text currently on your clipboard. When you press Ctrl+Shift+E (or Command+Shift+E on Mac) PasteQuery opens the last text you copied as a Google search in a new tab. Upon first install you must either open a new content page or refresh your current page to initiate PasteQuery.

  • (2017-08-20) woly soly: Handy tool. Would it be possible to allow us to customize the hotkey? ctrl+shift+e is quite close to ctrl+shift+w which closes the browser. Also would be great to be able to allow the new tab to open in background.
  • (2017-07-04) Allison Vi L: This is exactly what I've needed! Select word/phrase, Cmd+C, Cmd+Shift+E = opens Google search of selected text in new tab. Simple, perfect.
