Stop Trusting 5-Star Ratings with Only 3 Reviews!

Ever searched for a restaurant on Google Maps and found a place with 5 stars... but only 2 reviews? Meanwhile, a 4.7-star place with 2,000 reviews gets buried below? Google Maps Weighted Sorter fixes this problem once and for all.

How It Works

Our smart weighted algorithm combines two crucial factors:
Star Rating: How good is this place?
Review Count: How reliable is that rating?
The Formula: rating² × log₁₀(reviews)^1.5
This means a 4.5-star restaurant with 1,500 reviews will rank higher than a 5-star place with only 10 reviews. Because
statistically, it's more likely to actually be good.

Key Features

Perfect For

Planning a trip to a new city? Find genuinely popular restaurants, hotels, and attractions, not tourist traps with
fake reviews.

Foodies
Discover hidden gems that locals love. High review counts often indicate places that have stood the test of time.

Business Travelers
Quickly identify reliable hotels and restaurants near your meeting location without second-guessing every rating.

Local Explorers
Find the best coffee shops, gyms, parks, and services in your neighborhood based on real community feedback.

Why Review Count Matters

Research shows that:
Businesses can easily get friends and family to leave 5-star reviews
A rating becomes statistically reliable after ~30+ reviews
Popular places with thousands of reviews have proven consistency

Our algorithm accounts for this, giving you results you can actually trust.

Why isn't this built into Google Maps already? I've been using this for three weeks now and I can't go back. The logic is simple but brilliant: a place with 4.6 stars and 3,000 reviews is more trustworthy than a 5-star place with 12 reviews. The weighted score formula just works. Tested it searching for coffee shops in my area — the results made so much more sense. The top spots were places I already knew were good, which validated the algorithm for me. Now I use it for everything: restaurants, gyms, mechanics, dentists... Clean interface, no annoying popups, and it respects your privacy. Exactly what a browser extension should be.

Finally, a smarter way to find the best places on Google Maps! This extension is exactly what I needed. I was tired of seeing 5-star rated places with only a handful of reviews ranking above genuinely popular spots. The weighted algorithm makes so much sense — combining ratings AND review counts gives you results you can actually trust. I used it while planning my trip to Barcelona and it helped me find restaurants that locals actually go to, not just tourist traps with inflated ratings. The one-click sorting is super convenient, and I love that I can see the weighted score right on each result. Bonus: no account needed, no data tracking, everything runs locally. Highly recommend for travelers, foodies, or anyone who wants to make better decisions on Google Maps!
