The "Site Access List" for this extension only has one Bing variant listed ( https://cn.bing.com/* ). This seems to be the Chinese language version of the Bing website. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any way for users to add their own sites to this list. This problem is not solved perfectly in previous Google Personal Blocklist, but I found that the functionality is probably completely replaced or removed in this extension, which causes some issues. The "Block example.com" link is supposed to figure out the main domain based on TLDs, so that "subdomain.example.com" could be converted into "example.com". It looks like the solution that Search Blocklist uses is to fetch the last two parts of a host name, which works for this example.com case. However, there are many cases it does not work with: 1. Second level domains, mostly country code second level domains(ccSLDs) are not supported. For example, both of "example.com.cn" and "subdomain.example.com.cn" should be recognized as "example.com.cn" instead of "com.cn". There is a TLD_LIST in original Personal Blocklist containing most of SLDs which might be outdated but still very useful. 2. IPs. The current strategy converts "8.8.8.8" to "8.8".
