This extension allows Read&Write for Windows and Mac to work inside of Google Chrome. Simply install this helper extension to use your Read&Write toolbar in places like Google Docs, Word Online, Learning Management Systems, websites and more.

- It simply doesn't work, I've contacted support and followed all turtorials, but recieved no help or advice to resolve the problem. The app and the chrome extension do not funcation. Such a shame as it could have been a very useful tool.

- Very real possibility I'm misunderstanding the use of this extension, but it appears to do nothing. Doesn't read webpages, Word Documents open via Microsoft Edge, PDFs open via Microsoft Edge. Not functional.

- Very frustrating. Highlighting specific text to convert to speech and it just chooses completely different chunks of text, or goes to a previous page of the document I'm using, rarely actually works. Seems to have a mind of its own. The speech is so jarring to listen to I can barely absorb what I'm supposedly hearing. Highlighting text often comes up with an error that it "couldn't save the note". Embarrassing that this is the main software given out by universities and disability student supports, yet it rarely works in the way you're told it will. I've had this software since 2020 as well, so the fact it's still this bad is unacceptable.

- The worst thing about this software is the digital voice. all options are frankly teribble and make actively listening to large text almost unbearable. No matter the options and cadence or pitch. It all sounds so robotic. I wouldn't recomend this to anyone tbh.

- Software adds to my frustration with reading large bodies of text. Is not reliable at all and I often give up trying to get it to work - totally useless in my experience

- this service was provided to me by my university so it can help me since i have adhd, however it's not highlighting and saving vocabulary words from websites or documents and i'm using google chrome.

- So I opened a pdf on Chrome because I use an other extension to organise my annotations. The extension specifically designed for Chrome doesn't allow me to highlight on the pdf, which is fine. So I installed this accompanying extension of the desktop software, which I have it activated, but, I am unable to highlight the "pdf" page, outlook email or even the checklist for training from your website. Seriously, what's the point?

- It's not working, and there are numerous people reporting that it's not working. As far as I can tell there is no function to the add on at all. Nothing happens when you click it. I already opened a ticket using the email from previous ratings. We'll see if they do anything useful.

- I've had this app for over a year now. I could NOT get it to work and was getting extremely frustrated with it and was tending not to use it. I did keep trying though as I thought it was something I was doing wrong and have found that it's actually been working in the last three or four weeks for some miraculous reason! When it wasn't working it was so frustrating but now... I'm using it every day and finding it invaluable! Something's been fixed maybe?

- Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work at all. Tried updating etc, but clicking the extension does nothing. The most use I can get out of it is opening options and disabling it. It would be great if you could fix it! :)

- Even if I have Read&Write Gold open I can't seam to get it to work at all. When the extension is on, Chrome doesn't crash and all normal Chrome functionality is there, it just doesn't do anything. The only options are allowing it permissions and remove from Chrome. Unfortunately, despite the fact that this seamed to work in the past and has had at least from 2013 to be worked on....... it just doesn't work.

- the app won't even read out what i'm trying research so it is utterly pointless. The app installed on my laptop itself won't run the text to speech thing either but at least it works with an overlay at least making reading off my laptop slightly easier. reading other reports it seems as though there are a lot of problems with this app and if i had known before hand i wouldn't have bothered taking out the DSA loan to revive these as i could've gotten a cheaper laptop myself. waste of time and a total waste of money considering i already forked out for coloured lenses to be added to my glasses making the overlay pointless.

- I haven't really found any uses for it yet. It hasn't made the highlight and collect highlight function compatible :(

- Seems to conflict with chrome and causes it the lose your search results when you first open the browser.

- it did help with reading text online but when you have to do research for uni.. this app is absolutely useless as it keeps freezing! when you open a new tab and try and use chrome to search rather than google itself it just opens as a blank page.

- I can't figure out how to get it to work! It doesn't show up as a button or show any way to use it on any webpage I've been to so far. And, I can't see any instructions on here and haven't found much online on how to get it to work..

- Works well on most websites, however on Twitter, it causes all sorts of artifacts. The website stops rendering correctly, and every time you 'mouse over' something, all sorts of weird boxes start appearing!
