This is the official development build of uBlock Origin.
uBlock Origin is NOT an "ad blocker": it is a wide-spectrum blocker -- which happens to be able to function as a mere "ad blocker". The default behavior of uBlock Origin when newly installed is to block ads, trackers and malware sites -- through EasyList, EasyPrivacy, Peter Lowe’s ad/tracking/malware servers, various lists of malware sites, and uBlock Origin's own filter lists.

Use this development build of uBlock Origin if you want to help test new fixes since last stable release version, and to help find regression bugs.

"uBlock Origin Dev Build" does not share any settings with the stable release of "uBlock Origin", they are installed as two distinct extensions. If needed, use the backup/restore feature of uBlock Origin to transfer settings between the two extensions.

- It'll have to do, slower and lagging than the "non development build" but the other one is now crashing. The development build comes preinstalled with Thorium Browser (Chrome alternative).

- You can install it in "developer mode" from ghithub: https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/releases Still the only ad blocker that actually works. i believe that they blocked it because it blocks youtube advertisements

- It's awesome! Great workaround. I hope the developer keeps updating this Chrome extension. I'm not a fan of Firefox. As another poster suggested, it comes pre-installed with Thorium Chrome browser. But I find the extension won't auto-update. It needs to be manually (forcibly updated) despite the settings.

- This being removed from the Web Store is enough to make me switch to another browser. I'm currently still running this with a work around but as soon as I'm no longer able to do that, I'm switching back to Firefox or Brave.

- The devs have been continually updating the extension as YT rolls out video restrictions with ad blocks. Purging caches and re-loading them allows for un-interrupted viewing.

- Ceased working on Cent 3.0.4 (Chrome 62) as of this week. The entire UI of the addon is blank and no adblocking is done regardless. Why we can't prevent updates in Chrome is beyond me.. now to yet again find a working version of yet another addon for my older browser I'm still forced to use due to DirectWrite font rendering ruining things in any later version of Chromium.
