DOES SOMETHING USEFUL BUT IT IS VERY BUGGY: I had to install this app in my Chromebook to be able to use the printers in my organization. It does help me with printing, however it messes up my keyboard when using Chromeos. Sometimes the characters "h", "n", "m" stop printing when writing using my keyboard, unless I also use "Shift" and write these in the upper case format. Once I uninstall the app my keyboard starts working again, but it is really annoying having to repeat this process every time the keyboard has issues.

We have been using this as an alternative to Google cloud print for BYOD's at our small institute. We are not using the cloud, just locally with the service running on our Windows server. The Mac and iOS devices find the printers natively. Android devices need the app from Google Play Store. Chrome devices need the app from the chrome Web Store, because the app from Play Store does not work on the Chromebooks. Not sure what to do when the Web Store disappears completely.

Installed and spent the last 2 hours trying to get is to work, donesn't seem to work on windows 11. Its just saying failed to connect all the time. I just need a replacement for google cloud printing why did they end it!!!!

Application does not even work. My college has switched to this system and now I can no longer print things.

I have this installed in an education setting. We're a very small district (only about 45 teachers), so it was perfect and worked well for a long time. Unfortunately, the extension has been broken for several months now where it randomly can't find printers. Teachers report they'll be printing fine, then suddenly no more printers between jobs. For a while shutting the lid on a Chromebook and reopening it fixed the problem (or disabling and re-enabling the app for users who don't have their apps/extensions managed on the Console), but now that's not doing the job, either, and users are complaining to admins like everything is on fire, so I've been directed to find an alternative.

It randomly stops working but reinstalling the chrome app makes it work again, other than that it's great for sharing printers on the same network, 3 starts because of the issue i talked about

At first when I had this app it worked just fine, but recently it does find my printer but when I click to print it doesn't print anything.

requires a server

Very difficult to use for the first time and most/all online instructions are not helpful. Not user friendly.

I was using Mobility Print to send print jobs from my Chromebook to my home printer once Google ended their Cloud Print service. It worked the majority of time, occasionally requiring a system reboot for the printer to be found. I found it satisfactory and would have rated it 4 stars. However, in the last two months the utility has stopped working. The printer is recognized by the separate Mobility Print app (Mobility Print services), however, the printer does not show up in the list of available printers like it used to. I've tried endless troubleshooting on both the server and client without any resolution. Mobility Print stopped replying to emails once they realized I was not a commercial client---that's fine, though their online support troubleshooting section did nothing to resolve the problem.

What a frustrating app! I LOVED Google CloudPrint. My whole office worked 100% of the time for years. This junk is impossible to set up. The instructions are worthless on their website. I have uninstall the Chrome extension constantly! So much potential yet such a flop.

This is NOT a replacement for Google Cloud Print. If you have an organization that can set up print servers with the Paper Cut stuff, then you are good to go. BUT if you do not purchase their infrastructure, this is worthless to you. Look elsewhere.

Worthless piece of trash. Just pops up a screen saying "you're" ready to print. Doesn't actually help you print or connect to network-nothing. The absolute worst way to print from the cloud. I don't know why my college uses such a garbage service, much less why this even exists still. Would rate 0 stars but that's not possible, so you get a free, undeserved star.

Thanks to Mobility Print, my Chromebook is usable again! I was about to ditch Chromebooks and go back to Windows. Don't know what Google are playing at, when they can't even sort out something as fundamental as printing from Chromebooks since 2011!!

When idle for a long time, mobile can not find printer in same local network. I need to restart app in my computer and reactive print service again in my mobile.

The description is missing one important key word that completely changes the viability of this app for general Chromebook users. It says: "Simplify printing from your own ChromeBook for organizations using PaperCut Mobility Print" The word "Server" should be added to the end of that sentence. Without a Windows, Mac or Linux PC set up to act as a Mobility Printer Server, this client app CAN NOT WORK.

Works great for my university! Is there any way to change the user printing just in case someone else decides to use my device to print their own document?
