This Chrome extension allows you to share your screen in video calls on Facebook, Messenger and Workplace. Choose which windows or tabs to project during your call. The extension will not save images of your screen during your call or share your data with other apps or websites. You can also share your screen during your Facebook Live videos.

Cleveland Jones 2020-03-18: I have a chrome book. Facebook Screenshare app becomes a extention on my google chrome. I click the icon after getting the extention and it just takes me to my chrome web store where I can install the app and remove it from chrome. So I can't get it to work. I tried while on call and off. My buddy with a cellphone used it easily. Help.

My MacbookPro is "compatible" with the extension's functions and everything, but when I click on SCREEN SHARE on the Facebook Live options, it kept bringing me back to the Chrome Store. Fix it!! Not that it's a big deal for me, but it's incredibly annoying.

Shawn Walch 2018-11-06: The functionality is a bit clunky but it does exactly what is says. Having an option built in to toggle back and forth between screen share and web cam would be an excellent addition. Also, if you are having a hard time getting this to work once you have downloaded the extension, try clearing your browsing history and or cookies and cache. The reload the page. That's what made it work for me. Also, when tryign to share my whole screen versus just the application or the single tab, it wigs out and mirrors multiple images of the same thing like some fun house mirror. Fix the bugs and add the feature to toggle between screen share and web cam and you will easily have a 5 star rating.

Su Su Maung 2018-10-24: It is indeed confusing but once you play around with it, you figure out what it is for. It's not there to click on as shortcut to Facebook Live or Messenger call screen sharing page. It's there to allow for you to screen share on Facebook when you are accessing that function on a Chrome web browser. Without that extension, you cannot screen share using your Chrome browser. I actually enjoy the screen sharing on Facebook, and it's actually easy to switch back and forth between screen sharing or webcam by simply clicking on the "Stop Sharing" button on the site next to the videoplay on the browser. I don't know if other users are using smartphones or tablets to use this screen share function and it might not work the same way with it, but since it's a chrome extension, I'm assuming people are using it on a desktop/laptop using the Chrome browser. I've no issue stopping screensharing at all. The only confusing thing was for me to click on the extension in the browser bar on top and it leading me to the webstore, but like I mentioned, after testing and playing around with by deleting the extension and using Facebook Live, and finding out screenshare doesn't work without it, I added it back again, and used the FAcebook Live for screenshare and it worked, I realized what that extension's function is and to simply not click on it for any shortcut purposes.

Back to the ol' turn it off and then on again way of doing things, refresh you're page you sillies and it should work then. You'll have to restart your Live video again, but it should work. M'Kay?
