Frank Chou 2025-11-10: When I enable Bitdefender Anti-tracker, I can't watch any Video on Friday Video website (Taiwan streaming service). It spend me a long time to find what the problem is and waste my monthly fee. When I disable it, I can watch them normaly.

Hamza 2024-05-26: Using this for almost a year now and is working perfectly fine and does its job very well. Faced no issues with it. I see people complaining about issues I never experienced. Looks like common folks have so much running and conflicting on their computer that they are over their head and want to blame something. One complained about how it is installed automatically with the free version, one even gave it one star because the icon shows count number of blocked contents (spoiler alert... u can always unpin the icon from your extension bar)

Brian 2024-03-08: This extension blocks radar / terrain from being drawn on weather.com weather radar maps. The maps are missing streets, cities, etc.... all that is shown is weather. There geography/terrain is all missing.
CFD 2024-03-01: OMG!! This Security Extension for Chrome was totally messing with me & my Shopping Cart on Amazon which had me very frustrated & furious!! I was browsing & looking for all of the Items that I needed to Order from Amazon & adding them to the Amazon Shopping Cart as I found them. Suddenly & suspiciously, I would go to my Amazon Shopping Cart to the realize that all of the Items that I had been adding to it were gone & the Amazon Shopping Cart was empty? Urgh! I paused protection on Amazon.com inside this Browser Extension. Next thing I notice, the Bitdefender Anti-Tracker Browser Extension is still blocking Trackers & has been unpaused on its own on Amazon without me or my permission to do so! Thus, causing the same exact problem all over again with all of my Items that I added to the Amazon Shopping Cart which are now not in there & have been totally emptied out. I had to keep going back to my Browser History to find the Items that I had recently added to the Amazon Shopping Cart because they were clearly not there & kept being deleted with the use of this Bitdefender Anti-Tracker Browser Extension. I finally had to just totally disable the Bitdefender Anti-Tracker Browser Extension in my Google Chrome 64-bit Web Browser because it was badly messing with & emptying out my Amazon Shopping Cart. This I suppose is or may be by Bitdefender Anti-Tracker blocking so many Cookies & tracking attempts in a negative way that was affecting me & my Items that I had been adding to the Amazon Shopping Cart? I've never had this happen before or experienced this until I just recently installed the Bitdefender Anti-Tracker Browser Extension from my Bitdefender Internet Security?

Stephen Rybacki 2024-02-11: For all of those who say it blocks too many sites, or breaks a site - you can easily add exceptions to the extension so it doesn't act upon the site you are on that is inoperable. Simply click on the extension, then click on the gear icon in the upper right corner and add the site to the exception list. Reload the site and Viola!

William R 2023-11-25: it blocks nearly everything. web pages that i have memberships at and visit hundreds of times per month are blocked, and there is no way to make the extension ignore those websites. the extension won't even recognize my password to disable the extension. getting ready to completely uninstall it out of frustration.

Vinh-Kha Le 2023-07-23: This extension was automatically added to my browser after an installation of Bitdefender Free Antivirus. I was looking for an antivirus application, not a browser extension. If it was going to make changes to my browser, I would have preferred it if that change were opt-in.

Brandy 2023-03-08: I thought that I would give this company a try and nothing but regret. It is incredibly annoying and makes everything slow or doesn't work. Made the mistake of adding it to my phone as well. It's like I paid an annual subscription to have someone to follow me around every single day just to add tiny inconveniences throughout the whole day to the point that you consider taking your chances with the Internet without protection. Is it the end of the world? No, of course not. However, would I recommend? Absolutely not. Am I going to renew my subscription? No way! If I wasn't so cheap, I would just take the loss and go with something else that I've used in the past. So for now, I will at least remove the extension.

Leah G 2021-06-09: So far so good except one problem: This extension breaks Twitch.tv Every few minutes Twitch will show error 2000 and prompt me to refresh the player. Clicking "pause protection for this site" prevents this from happening, but that disables protection on the site completely. One key feature is also missing: The ability to manually allow individual trackers per site, rather than having to whitelist the entire site because of one false positive or site-breaker. (Privacy Badger is an example of an extension with this feature.)

Philippe Verdy 2021-02-09: But there's a problem in some HTTPS site: there's no option to bypass a protection when the certificate for the site is invalid (e.g. it has expired, or this is a test site in development: we should be able to visit it even if there's a prior alert. Bit Defender can still protect us by blocking malicious scripts, but blocking completely a site for an invalid certificate makes it completely inaccessible. This blocks even the possibility to signal the certificate problem to the site owner via its support page or contact page (and it becomes impossible to find them). The only alternative is to disable Bitdefender completely, which would be worse than bypassing only this certificate check.

David Babitt 2020-07-17: Not sure if its protecting me...But there is clearly a problem accessing google drive and other apps. Adding drive.google.com or accounts.google.com to the exception lists has done nothing to address the problem. Every time I access google drive, which is very frequent (even opening google docs through windows explorer, which links to a browser page), I must "pause protection on this website" every time. And it took months of perusing forums before I realized bitdefender anti-tracker extension is the culprit. Ultimately I may elect to disable this add-on, as it is more trouble than helpful from what I can see thus far.
