ProctorU is committed to providing you the best test-taking experience possible while protecting the integrity of your exam so that everyone has a fair chance to perform their best on test day. We take privacy and exam integrity very seriously but we also realize that some privacy terms may be confusing.
Please remember:
• ProctorU will only monitor you during your exam session.
• Your personal information is safe and will never be shared or sold to a third party.
• ProctorU will not access any personal data not required for the exam itself.
• Prior to installing the extension, Google Chrome will ask for your permission.
• The permissions you agree to are only required during the exam and will never be used outside of the exam session.
What does the Google Chrome Extension privacy disclosure really mean? Here is a short description that shows how we use these features:
• READ AND CHANGE ALL YOUR DATA ON THE WEBSITES YOU VISIT - This may be a little misleading, but ProctorU uses this during your exam to ensure you remain on permitted pages or sites. For example, your facilitator might restrict the use of another webpage during the exam.
• DISPLAY NOTIFICATIONS - This permission allows the proctor to send you a notification while in your exam.
• COMMUNICATE WITH COOPERATING WEBSITES - During your exam, ProctorU may need to communicate with your test delivery provider or learning management system to ensure all the necessary conditions are set for an optimal testing experience.
• READ AND MODIFY DATA YOU COPY AND PASTE - This prevents the use of copy and paste during the exam which protects exam integrity.
• DETECT YOUR PHYSICAL LOCATION - Knowing where you're testing helps us provide a better experience and potentially help you if you encounter a technical issue.
• CAPTURE THE CONTENT OF YOUR SCREEN - ProctorU needs to be able to see what you're doing during the exam to provide our online monitoring and exam integrity service.
This brief explanation is intended to help demystify the Chrome extension privacy disclosure and give you a better understanding of why we use the extension. It's important to remember that we only monitor your activity for the duration of your exam session and take your data privacy very seriously. - It's basically just spyware with zero regulation of who looks through your computer while you are taking an exam (or potentially after, who knows). Note that when you install this extension Chrome specifically tells you that ProctorU is able to browse all your files, change privacy settings on your computer, and store your information.

- Would give less than 1 star if I could. I re-downloaded this extension just to give a bad review, that's how frustrating it was. God help you if you have to use this for a test.

- pretty sure this is a scam company run by an indian scam center. it is designed to crash your test. when you ask for help, they want you to live chat with people like "Sadeep" who ask you to install a 3rd party program that allows them to have remote access and take control of your screen(access to your whole computer). I asked if they could just walk me through it instead, and in broken english they just kept telling me "tech would able fix it". LSAT is BONKERS for using such a service.

- Not user friendly, very hard to use, and I spent 30 minutes of trying to screen share and It could not because of my "wifi" even though I was at 3 bars.

- Sad but true failed three exams as each time I used it it crashed on Proctor's end took a few hours to get up and running but by then I was mentally spent and failed my exam as my patience and focus was not there. People at ICC were great, ProctorU did their best but this was an IT issue and out all participants hands. Hopefully the next upgrade will will but let us see. Technology is only great when it works. By the way I can no longer take my exam in person at PearsonVue, I have no idea as to why this is the new norm. Anyway lets give it another try asd they are trying to make it work better for taking exams.

- Absolutely miserable. It glitched out my screen and I could hardly even see my test questions as the extension was moving my window all over the place, a waste of time and energy to try and get it fixed without it flagging me for nothing. Zero stars.

- This is absolutely ridiculous. My test was at 120p and it was 450p and I told them; hey the system is not working and its no way I'm not in a test taking mode. I'm going to reschedule my exam. This system needs to do better an d test their equipment and stop blaming our computer/laptop. no stars for me......

- Absolutely garbage - askes you to give permission to access camera and microphone without the button on the guardian browser. Contacted support to get help and had to wait for 10 mins to get connected, then the same technician threw in a comment "you need to use another computer" then immediately ended the session without letting me ask any questions. Then the customer support told me that technician thought I had remote access software which I freaking don't! And they kept sending me to the same technician, and he kept ending the support sessions 4 times in a row! Purely waste of time and terrible customer service. Issue still not resolved. Worst team I've ever seen.

- This website makes you download to your computer to use your browser then gives you directions to access your microphone and camera with buttons that are not on their made up browser. 10 minutes after talking with some help line they make you download an extension on chrome which was nowhere in the original directions.

- We have wasted so much time trying to get this to work. I agree with everyone else, this is terrible!!! Also, it says it can read and change all your data on all websites, read and modify data you copy and paste, identify and eject storage devices.... It's awful. I hope we can delete this extension when we are done with the course.

- Sorta creepy that it needs so many permissions for my computer, probably some sort of spyware. Please remove any unnecessary permissions, such as the ability to "eject" my storage stuff.

- ProctorU has never ceased to amaze me with how haphazardly it operates. It has never once been a smooth process where my computer does not end up having some sort of issue afterwards and it is ridiculous Universities use this garbage program.
