- Totally broken - Impossible to use Doccle with BEID. Sad when you know the whole source code of the BEID Web package is 100% open sourced by the BE Government ! If you can't write the code... Just copy it.

- One would've thought that people in the Belgian government or wherever else this extension is being used would notice these terrible reviews and switch to a software solution that actually works (e.g. with Itsme), but alas... The extension keeps trying to update itself, again and again and again, showing this message: "A new Connective plugin is available. Please click the upgrade button below and proceed with the upgrade wizard." I'm an IT guy and I still can't get it to work! 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️

- Same here. In the Chrome Web Store it says "This extension may soon no longer be supported because it doesn't follow best practices for Chrome extensions." That is what I find great stuff...

- Why oh why can't I be using Linux? I have Ubuntu, I have this plugi yet still cannot update my itsme. Serisouly, I can do it everywhere, but on itsme. How about you trust the e-di, id and pin? Afterall, i am not changing my eID data, I am politely asking itsme to update it!

- Utterly unnecessary bloatware you need to install to be able to activate a security app on top of needing to install a program to read my E-id, have the physical id as well as the pincode of said id. If Belgium was as concerned about things that mattered.

- I tried all browsers on my Mac - Chrome, Firefox, and Safari - but none worked. Restarting the browser or restarting the computer didn't help either.

- It seems the problem got worse with macOS 14.0 Sonoma. There is no way to get itsme activated with an eID card reader: you see your personal identity data, but then you end up on the "Oops" page that only informs you that "something" went wrong. It's the same on all browsers.

- Still issues - same story as many before me, I was perfectly normal and happy user of Itsme but I got a new phone. So went to reactivate my Itsme account with eID, should be no brainer. But alas! Now they want me to install a plug in (which I don't want) and then they are "CHECKING THE INSTALLATION OF CARD READER SOFTWARE"... and checking... and checking. The webpage just hangs there, no actions to be taken, no install file I could just download and install manually. Tried different browsers, different computers, firewall off, pop-ups enabled. NOPE. So I can't use Itsme on my new phone, can't login to my bank, government email etc Big congrats - you took something that worked perfectly fine and broke it

- Quite honestly the most frustrating and pointless application ever created, yet is used the verify ItsMe, a platform crucial to logging into any banking app or public service. Absolute joke

- Ok... Not very user friendly, but I managed to make it work with itsme on Windows 11 on chrome Version 106.0.5249.119 (Official Build) (64-bit). Here is how I did it: 1. Download the software for your platform on https://plugin.connective.eu/#plugin-overview 2. Install software (make sure to install the packages for the browsers you need, for me chrome was auto unticked...) 3. Install chrome extension. 4. check if the current setup is sufficient: https://plugin.connective.eu/

- I have now tried, as many in these reviews, to install on Mac and PC, on Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari. Basically all big browsers in the biggest operating systems, and it has been a failure. I will send an email with more details to the Connective support, but in case the support read this, or anybody who makes the decisions over Belgian IT infra reads this, let me be clear: you can not simply fail this miserably on an essential online service. You just can't. This is critical part of the e-governance, and your app does not work on _any browser out there_. Let me repeat: your software just does not work. And even if it would work after all these hoops and hurdles, just take a deep breath, take a good long look into the mirror and think about it for a minute: I have 8 years of programming experience and I am born during the digitalised era. I didn't understand what was going on. Think about somebody who is over, let's say 50 or 60 and does not have IT experience to go through this process. We are not IT administrators, we just want to take care of the things we need to take care of and carry on. Debugging your stuff is not our responsibility. Now, as my banking does not allow and identification for any given reason, and ItsMe is useless garbage at the moment, there is a big chance that I won't declare my Belgian taxes this year. I would like to, but I simply can't.

- I have been a happy user of Itsme for years, I activated it through my bank the first time. I'm not a customer at that bank anymore and bought a new phone, which required me to reactivate Itsme. I baught an eId reader for it. But I've been trying to get this to work for hours now. I tried everything: different computers, different browsers, Windows 10 and 11, deleting cookies, disabling adblockers, installing updated version of the plugin, looked at troubleshooting websites,.... Nothing works. So nerve wracking. I guess my new phone won't be using Itsme anymore :( For Belgium there is already eId software, why can't this just be enough?
