Description from extension meta

Sync bookmarks in Chrome/Edge to your private GitHub or Gitee repository.

Description from store

Bookmark Sync is a Chrome/Edge extension built for users who want full control over bookmark data. Instead of sending bookmarks to a centralized third-party cloud, it stores bookmark snapshots in your own GitHub or Gitee repository, making backup and synchronization more private, transparent, and auditable.
The extension supports dual-provider configuration (GitHub and Gitee) and lets you choose pull/push sources directly in the popup. For push operations, you can target only the current provider or push to all configured providers for multi-end redundancy. This design works well for both simple single-repo workflows and advanced multi-platform backup strategies.
Core features include manual push (local to remote), manual pull (remote overwrite local), scheduled auto-push (minimum 15 minutes), conflict detection with diff preview, force sync after confirmation, and JSON export/import for offline backup and recovery. When conflicts are detected, the extension shows readable differences so you can decide safely; automatic tasks skip conflicting updates by default to reduce accidental overwrites.
Bookmark Sync is especially useful for multi-device users, browser migration, and people who prefer owning their data pipeline end to end. You can define an initial sync baseline (local-first or remote-first), then keep a stable routine: pull before major edits, push right after changes. The result is a practical, low-friction bookmark workflow with stronger data ownership and safer recovery options.
