Instagram Feed Blocker – Focus Lock helps you use Instagram more intentionally.

Instead of dropping you straight into an endless feed, it shows a clean, minimal dialog with a short quote and a simple math problem. Solve the problem once to unlock your feed for the rest of the session.

What it does
- Blocks the Instagram home feed behind a lightweight “focus gate”
- Shows a motivational quote and an addition problem (e.g. 667 + 456 + 712 + 606)
- Only after you answer correctly does your feed become visible
- Unlock lasts for the current browser session; new sessions can ask again

Why this is useful
- Adds a small moment of friction before you start scrolling
- Helps you be more deliberate about opening Instagram
- Great for habit-building and reducing mindless social media use

How it works
- Runs only on instagram.com in your browser
- Renders an overlay with a Notion × Apple inspired interface
- Generates a random math problem and checks your answer locally
- Stores an “unlocked” flag in sessionStorage for the current tab/session

Privacy
- No accounts, no logins, no trackers
- Does NOT send any data to external servers
- All logic and state live entirely in your browser
