Profit Calculator PRO is a Chrome extension that helps online sellers quickly understand the real profit of each sale. Enter your brutto (VAT‑included) sale price, VAT rate, and your costs (amount or %), and the extension calculates:

- Net profit (after VAT and all costs)
- Profit margin (% of brutto sale)
- A detailed per‑cost expense breakdown

You can also save profiles for different marketplaces (e.g. eBay, Amazon, Etsy) so your usual fees and VAT are just one click away.

Add any number of cost rows (item cost, marketplace commission, ads, shipping, other fees…)
Each cost can be an Amount or a %
Choose when each cost applies:
- Before VAT (percent of brutto sale)
- After VAT (percent of net revenue)
- After selected costs (percent of a base you define)
- After all other costs
A “Select base costs” dialog lets you precisely control the base for “After selected costs”.

After each calculation, see how much each cost contributed as a net expense

- Marketplace profiles
Save/load profiles for different marketplaces or account types (e.g. “eBay DE”, “Amazon UK”) Profiles store:
- VAT rate
- All cost rows (names, values, amount/% and when applies)
- Base‑cost selections for “After selected costs”
Switching profiles is one click, with a confirmation if there are unsaved changes.

- Autosave of current state
Your last entered sale, VAT, and costs are automatically saved as a draft
Closing and reopening the popup does not reset the fields

How the calculation works:

- VAT is extracted from the brutto sale only:
netRevenueAfterVAT = bruttoSale / (1 + VAT%)

- For costs with Type = Amount, the value is used as‑is (VAT‑neutral).
- For costs with Type = %, the percent base depends on When applies:
Before VAT → base = bruttoSale
After VAT → base = netRevenueAfterVAT
After selected costs → base = netRevenueAfterVAT - selectedBaseCosts
After all other costs → base = netRevenueAfterVAT - allOtherCosts

- Finally:
Net profit = netRevenueAfterVAT - sum(all cost expenses)
Profit margin = netProfit / bruttoSale * 100

- Example
Suppose you have:

Brutto sale: €90
VAT: 19%
Item cost: €30 (Amount, Before VAT)
Ads: 5% of sale (Percent, Before VAT)
Marketplace commission: 16% of sale (Percent, Before VAT)
Shipping: €7 (Amount, Before VAT or After VAT – it stays €7)

The extension will:

- Extract VAT from €90 to find net revenue.
- Compute each cost as a net expense from the correct base.
- Show net profit, profit margin, and a per‑cost table so you can see exactly how much Ads, commission, shipping, and item cost each contribute.
