RecipeRip extracts recipe details (ingredients, steps, macros) from web pages using AI.
I got tired of opening a recipe link and having to scroll through paragraphs of someone's childhood memories, pop-up ads, and SEO filler just to find out how much flour I need. So I built RecipeRip.
It's simple. Click the icon on any recipe page, hit "Extract Recipe," and AI pulls out just the recipe: ingredients with quantities, numbered steps, and nutritional info. That's it. No noise, no scrolling, no copying and pasting into a notes app.
Two ways to use it:
Account Mode: Sign up for free and get 5 recipe extractions to start. When you need more, ticket packs are cheap.
Bring Your Own Key: If you have a OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google Gemini API key, plug it in and extract as many recipes as you want at no cost.
What it does:
Extracts ingredients, steps, and macros from any recipe page
Saves recipes locally so you can come back to them
Print-friendly layout with ingredient checkboxes
Light and dark mode
Works across thousands of recipe sites
Privacy: In BYOK mode, your API key never leaves your device. In Account mode, page content is processed and immediately discarded — nothing is stored on our servers.

- 10/10 would recommend! RecipeRip is basically the button I’ve always wanted on recipe sites. One click and boom, you have a clean list of ingredients, clear steps, and no ads. Also it adds AI generated macros so you can see the calorie, protein, fat and carb breakdown per serving! There is even a built‑in library function where your extracted recipes are saved for you to come back to again and again. It feels like building your own little cookbook without any of the faff. If you cook even a little, this extension really makes it smoother, and easier.
