Once detected, the extension queries Lantern’s secure API to retrieve verification statuses and detailed provenance metadata. Then, it injects unobtrusive badge icons directly alongside the artworks or posts, indicating the art’s current status: Verified Creator, Unverified Creator, Disputed, Revoked, Chain Review Needed, Mismatch, or Error. Users can click on these badges to access full provenance details, including creator identity, linked platform accounts, registration timestamps, and on-chain authenticity information.

How It Works:
1. Install Lantern Glass from your browser’s extension marketplace.
2. Browse supported platforms where digital artworks are posted—Twitter (X), Pixiv, DeviantArt, ArtStation, Instagram, Lantern Glass web app.
3. Lantern Glass automatically scans the page content for embedded or linked Lantern IDs—unique digital provenance codes associated with artworks.
4. When Lantern IDs are detected, the extension queries Lantern’s secure API to retrieve verification statuses and detailed provenance metadata stored on the Base blockchain.
5. Verification badges appear directly alongside artworks or posts, showing current authenticity and registration status.
6. Click on any badge to open a popup with comprehensive provenance details including creator credentials, linked verified accounts, registration timestamp, chain review notes, and helpful references.
7. Optionally, right-click on any image and select “Verify with Lantern” to manually initiate a verification check.
8. Adjust platform-specific settings in the extension’s options panel to control which sites enable or disable verification services according to your browsing preferences.
