Download Notify
Alerts the user with a sound once a download has completed.
Download Notify is a download notification that offers a single beep on download completion and after downloading all files, it will play a final sound letting you know that all downloads are done.
The extension also displays the count for the downloads in progress.
Extremely lightweight, Download Notify is a great add on for anyone who uses Google Chrome.

The extension keeps getting corrupted when I boot up Chrome. I constantly have to repair the extension to get it working. Please make it more stable.

I've been looking for a way to get audible notifications when a download is complete in Chrome. I came across your Chrome extension "Download Notify" and tried it out. So far, it's pretty good but I often miss or don't hear the subtle sound effect as I am usually multitasking on and off my computer especially when other sound sources are present. I would like to make a few suggestions that I think would make this really solid. 1. Looping a sound effect until a user intervenes or stops it. 2. A different sound effect for a failed download, this message reads "Failed - Network error" in the download tab. 3. Custom sounds that can accommodate long length sound files, like a drone, alarm, or a soundtrack until a user intervenes or stops it. Download notifications on lengthy downloads are especially helpful, especially when you are multitasking. Just as important is a different sound for failed downloads, it's pretty frustrating when a lengthy download fails halfway through and you don't realize it until much much later because you are waiting for the completed download sound effect!

No longer works as of 2021. Most downloads do not give the download finished sound. Very rarely once in 50 downloads, the sound plays.

Very useful extension. Please allow for use of custom sound file on batch completion. The 3 second long wav is very good for intermittent jobs. But on a sequential download of files in batches of 2 it get annoying real fast. Thanks.
It needs more work, like a possibility to define a custom sound and the counter is just broken on my computers it's showing like 183 in one, 386 in another, etc.

Hello there sir. Amazing extension. I'll give it 4/5 though because you did not make an option were the user could use his own sound not just the default that it is this tool.

My preferred notification extension, plus the sounds are just right. One problem the counter still shows after downloads are complete, its really annoying. I doubt you'll even see this, since the extension hasn't had an update since 2014. Regardless awesome extension.
