MarketClean is a buyer-side filter that keeps Marketplace local, relevant, and easy to browse — set a real distance limit, block junk keywords, hide listings you have already seen, and clean up your saved page.
Strict Radius — enforce your distance limit
Marketplace has a soft radius. Even with distance set to "within 10 miles," you will see results from 50+ miles away. MarketClean's Strict Radius mode hides anything outside your chosen range, so the feed stays genuinely local.
Keyword filtering — block the junk, keep what matters
- Blocked keywords: hide listings containing words you do not want to see
- Required keywords: only show listings that mention what you are actually looking for
- Exact phrase matching: filter on full phrases, not loose word matches
Filters continue to apply as more listings load while you scroll.
Fresh-feed mode — stop seeing the same listings
- Hide listings you have already viewed
- Show only unseen listings
- Highlight newly discovered results

Saved page cleanup — Available-only view
Sold, pending, and removed listings pile up on your Saved page until it is unusable. MarketClean adds an Available-only filter so you only see saved items you can still actually buy.
Does not break Marketplace
MarketClean only hides listings — it never removes or alters Facebook's own page elements. When Facebook updates its layout, the extension keeps working instead of breaking.
Privacy — buyer-side, minimal data
No account, no seller tools, no ad tracking, no selling your data. Your keywords and rules stay on your device. The only data that leaves your browser: listing/center place names sent to our geocoding service (OpenStreetMap-powered, cached, not tied to you) so the distance filter can work, plus anonymous, keyword-free usage stats tied to a random install ID. - works only 10% of the time. Super glitchy. You constantly have to toggle the on/off button for it to make it work, and even then, it only works slightly. All the keywords I enter into the filter out list, still show up all the time in my marketplace feed.

- Really useful extension if you use Facebook Marketplace a lot. The biggest win for me is filtering out listings that are way outside the radius I actually want. Marketplace often shows stuff much farther away than expected, and this makes browsing a lot less frustrating.
