StaySavr promotes direct contact between guests and accommodation providers. For both vacation rentals and hotels.
Direct contact means that guests can get the full details of the accommodation and ask any questions direct to the owner. Asking those questions to a call-center doesn't help one bit!
For the accommodation provider, it means getting to know your guests before they arrive and building trust.
For owners and guests, it means avoiding fees and commission that typically add 20% to the cost of renting or at least 15% to the cost of booking a hotel room.
The middlemen (Online Travel Agent) sites are waging an ugly advertising war and the guests end up paying! With StaySavr, we are actively discouraging the advertising war by refusing to pay for it.
One day, sanity will return to the market and the OTAs will return to being advertising platforms. Until then... there is StaySavr+
New update November 2023: For many months, the extension only worked marginally on hotel sites. Now, that has been fully fixed and Orbitz.com and Agoda.com have been added. Contact information is shown for about 90% of hotels.

- (2018-04-24) Ivor: If you want to talk to owners directly before booking holiday accommodation with the big advertisers, then I thoroughly recommend this extension. You know how it is, there's lots of info in an advert but you really just want to chat to the owner to get a real feel for what they're like and the place that they're renting. Unfortunately e-mail just doesn't cut the mustard when you want to communicate properly - the only way is to talk in person. I've been using the original version (StaySavr) for a while (don't be put off by low usage figures, this is a well established product). Download this extension to show the owner's number so that you can contact them directly. As the late great Bob Hoskins used to say in the UK TV ad 'It's good to talk'!.

I was viewing VRBO this afternoon, and I was seeing the contact information, but not now. I checked to make sure the extension was enabled, and it is. And I checked some earlier properties that I had put into the trip board, and now they don't show the information either. Yesterday stay savr worked on my home pc but not my lap top. Today it wont work on either? I am not sure what has changed at all? I tried it on a few different computers as well?
