- (2014-05-01) K. Kaland: The only problem I have with this extension is that it constantly uses a bit of CPU, presumably to maintain a websocket connection. This affects laptop battery life, though, since one has to keep Chrome running in order to benefit. It'd be nice to be able to configure polling (or somehow reduce energy usage). e.g. to just check every 5 or 10 minutes instead of as it happens. After all, IRCCloud itself will show notifications on the desktop when one actually has the site open. If it's closed, one can usually wait a bit to know that something has happened.
- (2014-01-16) Robert Sogomonian: Slick way to keep up to date with notifications that have been received throughout the day, especially after long periods of not checking IRCCloud. I don't want to scroll through all that backlog. Now I don't have to!

- (2021-06-17, v:1.5) Oded Gabbay: shows only "connecting" in chrome
The icon in chrome toolbar is gray and when I click on it, it shows a window with a word "connecting" inside. That's it. Nothing helps - (2016-07-31, v:1.5) Matt Burnham: Only shows "please login"
Can't get it past "Please login at irccloud.com" - (2016-03-18, v:1.5) Tim Wisniewski: Installing Crashes OSX
Oddly enough, when I click "Add to Chrome" from my macbook pro 15" retina (el capitan), it logs me out of my osx account, sending me back to the login screen. Logging back in shows everything starting up again, suggesting it quit everything. I did this twice in a row and it's never happened before. - (2015-08-08, v:1.4) Stopped connecting
No longer connects to my running IRCCloud instance. How do I restart it? - (2015-04-08, v:1.4) Sean McArthur: Use with enterprise?
Is it possible to use this extension with an enterprise install of IRCCloud? - (2015-02-21, v:1.4) Source Code?
Is the code available somewhere? I'm curious how this extension works with the API. - (2014-10-19, v:1.3) Tom Murray: Won't connect
It's also stopped connecting for me. I've tried a browser/extension restart, signing in and out of IRCCloud. Still hangs on connecting. - (2014-10-19, v:1.3) Artie T.: Extension won't connect
It just hangs on Connecting.. forever. I'm signed in on the website. - (2014-05-01, v:1.3) K. Kaland: My review (CPU usage)
Hi! I'm the one who posted the review I'll paste in after this. I figured it would be easier for you to respond like this if you have any tips. The only problem I have with this extension is that it constantly uses a bit of CPU, presumably to maintain a websocket connection. This affects laptop battery life, though, since one has to keep Chrome running in order to benefit. It'd be nice to be able to configure polling (or somehow reduce energy usage). e.g. to just check every 5 or 10 minutes instead of as it happens.
