• (2021-05-17) ̣: Tutorial outdated, didn't work, it turns blue when I switched to Messenger tab, but general options only appeared (which normally happens to most extensions) I disabled "Allow in Incognito/In-Private" somehow worked when I used it on Reddit, but it only dimmed the whole webpage, then I opened the inspect element on it, and I saw this: "Due to recent update to Facebook, this chrome extension is currently unable to download your messages."

Old Review: Now works with the updated, late 2020, FB Messenger! Great for gathering and saving evidence from an abusive situation, or simply collecting memoires from loved ones. This extension works wonders, and is fast! It saves gifs, videos, and pictures sent throughout the messages, as well! FEATURE REQUEST: to be able to carry over "chat reacts" and signify when they have "replied" to something directly. These are both semi-new features on FB, and would be great to have added here as well.

• (2020-11-20) Dean: Amazing extension. It's working again since the new update. Just update it by removing the extension and then adding it back, and it will work. This extension will create a beautiful web layout of your chat, along with full timestamps, pictures, etc. You can then save the webpage, or you can also highlight the text you want, and then copy and paste it into a Word document. That's how I prefer to save anything. I liked it so much that I decided to donate $10 to the programmer.

  First of all thank you for this extension as it makes easier to take a backup of messages. However, after I backup a group conversation, I see all the messages from everyone but there were no names. Names of people does not appear right next to their messages. So I don't know who texted who and all.. Is this a glitch or is there a setting I need to do to make it work? Thanks!

  Installed extension. Restarted Chrome. On Win10 (up to date). Selecting conversation (on messenger.com). Clicking extension icon (that is initially surrounded by white) gives a "reload page to use.." Reloading page. Now clicking icon nothing happens but a tiny "glitch/jerk" in image (a pop-up getting blocked? pop-ups & notifications allowed). Trying from facebook.com (after same white border on icon > reload page procedure) gives a popup: "This app will only work if you are on the facebook messages page. Please Go To: https://www.facebook.com/messages/" So, not managed to get it to work as of now.

  The "date range" is not working properly. I just set it for December 8th through December 11th, and it displayed messages from December 8th through today (December 13th). I did another test and just tried one day, for December 8th. It displayed messages from December 8th to December 11th. Interestingly, it didn't display the whole day for the 11th, but stopped at the 6:24 pm message, even though there were more messages for that day. Everything else seems to be working great, aside from this date range.
