Common sense would be smarter than the two people I had trying to resolve my issue. I decided I'll just turn up to my exam and hope it miraculously works on the day, and if not? Not my problem.
• (2023-07-26) Kajeme Cheneque: I did have an issue setting up on my mac. The way I fixed it was: 1. Go to The apple logo on the top left corner. 2. System Preferences 3. Security & Privacy 4. Choose the Privacy tab 5. Click on Screen Recording 6. Make sure to unlock the Lock on the lower left corner 7. Finally check google chrome from the Screen Recording apps Good Luck!
• (2023-06-16) Maria Antonietta Quintana: Non ho ancora avuto modo di utilizzare ProctorExam, ma condivido un'informazione che non mi è stato semplice reperire relativa la condivisione schermo (grazie a Unimi). Riporto testualmente "Il sistema propone un popup all’interno del quale è presente un riquadro che riporta lo screenshot del desktop. Per attivare la condivisione, bisogna cliccare sull’immagine del desktop e quindi cliccare sul pulsante “condividi” (il pulsante condividi si attiva solo dopo aver selezionato l’immagine riportante il desktop)". Prima di questa spiegazione non ci ero arrivata, quindi semplificherei questo passaggio.

Added stress rather than relieving it. Havent found more slow and complicated set up on any of the other previous settings for other exams. Very very unhelpful. Will be giving the exam board the same review as using this system which is not helpful at all

Try the following 2 options: 1. Update the chrome to latest version 2. Under manage extensions -> check if there's any other proctor background something extension enabled automatically. - Disable this unknown extension, then you'll be able to enable the intended one.
