Sets the "Subscriptions" page as your default homepage on YouTube by redirecting all requests at the browser level
This small extension is meant to fix the missing setting that would allow avid users to go directly to the Subscriptions section of the YouTube website when clicking the logo. Great for anyone who wants to avoid the Home page by all means. Also redirects the "Home" menu item in the sidebar, or heck, any link that points to https://www.youtube.com/, no matter where it came from.
I used to maintain a userscript for this purpose, but due to YouTube's upcoming Material redesign's use of Polymer 2.0 I simply couldn't work around their event handlers.
This extension is open source, you can find the source code here: https://github.com/SeinopSys/YTMySubs-chrome

- (2024-02-05) WoeIsLee: This was a nice find after all the userscripts I was using for awhile, finally stopped working. My only complaint is that sometimes I'd like to actually click on the home button to see and or watch recommended videos, which you guys took away for some reason, I dont quite understand but, I guess I can just disable this whenever I wanna do it, annoying but.
- (2023-08-26) Rakesh Patel: i've turned off my youtube history to prevent myself fromdoom scrolling ever more content but was alwasy presented with a blank screen which was offputting as all i wanted to really view was my subscriptions. I downloaded a redirctor but repalcing youtube.com to youtube.com/feed/subscriptions didnt work and so foudn this plugin which works perfectly. thanks Dev!

- (2023-06-10) Austin: This works great. Doesn't hang for a second or need to reload the page. However, it seems to not let you view the home page at all. Most of the audience for this extension might not care, but sometimes I do actually tend to pop over to the home page if I've seen everything I want for the day from my sub box, to possibly find some new creators or see what the algorithm has barfed up for me for the day. Is this a technical limitation or is it possible to allow this?

- (2019-12-19) Dan Honnen: Fantastic little extension, thank you! Though personally I think it would be nice to perhaps have an option to disable the redirect functionality when clicking the sidebar button labelled "Home" independently of the YouTube logo button, that's a tiny quibble. Also, based on the extension description, I'm guessing that would not be a trivial feature to add, and could periodically break as YT changes over time, I'll take a reliable extension over a slightly more configurable one any day of the week. Again, thanks to SeinopSys for this, I really wish I had found it sooner!
