Here is the whole story:
This extension has bookmark, highlight and add sticky note features. These features need the privilege to access your pages. However, we never collect any of your data unless you select some content and choose to send it to diigo. Don't worry. We are also internet users and don't want to be evil.

* [new option] Load bookmarking info automatically. When enabled, the browser action icon will indicate whether current page is bookmarked.

I upgraded to the least expensive paid plan and am getting good value. Diigo is one of the only bookmarking services that is still in business. I'm really happy with this extension.

Bookmarks are fine for the sites I visit most, but Diigo helps me get back those web pages or sites from a log time ago that I really liked but can't remember the names of. I use tags to help remember what it is about a page that caught my interest, and the search feature helps me find pages even when I haven't added tags. I can also highlight and annotate pages. It woks on all my devices regardless of which browser I am using.

It is about 4 days that the web application does not save highlights and sticky notes on PDFs. The mobile version works perfectly, even when I go to the web app the changes are synced, but the error on the web page exists. This is a service that I think people will rely on it. It should have a better support. *** I should mention that my issue is resolved today and the web app works perfectly. Thank you very much Diigo team.

Abandonware. It's a shame. Diigo browser for Android: VERY only browser with no updates, no longer works with many websites, pages only partially load at www.yle.fi, the main news site in Finland. Can't you just update the browser? Diigo browser for IOS Apple: should I buy an Apple device and install this, will it work better than Diigo for Android browser? Google Chrome extension. Works at least with these extensions: Clipboard history pro, AdBlock, PubPeer, Does it matter do I have memory saver on or off? I have 16GB of memory so there is no benefit for memory save? chrome://settings/performance Does Diigo stop working if I have too many tabs open, or what becomes the problem?

- (2023-08-19) Data Two: Would Love to Love It. . . But. First and foremost, this extension hasn't been updated since 2021 and appears to be abandoned. Which is a shame. So much potential, so very much potential. But strange. In order to place a sticky note on a website, it takes numerous clicks. First left click to contextual menus and choose sticky note. Then extension opens up a bar of selections in upper right corner of the site your on. Then click on the sticky note in the that open extension. Sticky note will appear in the upper LEFT corner of your window. Then you click it open, then enter pertinent information, click save. And if you wish to move the sticky to another area of the sites window, you must wait till it closes, THEN move it. Otherwise, it will return to the upper left corner again. I don't know why it was set up this way and despite my looking for option ini preferences to alter this behavior, I could find none. If you could simply click open a note (wherever your mouse happens to be), enter your text, and save it that would be nice. Also, having the note remain where it is when you do this would be even nicer. Other than this, I've not investigated the other options, as if the sticky note operates in this manner, I can't imagine what kind of roads I must run in order to complete those tasks. As much as I want to use this extension, and I really really do, it takes far too many actions to use it efficiently. So, it has to go.

- (2023-05-07) Gareth Eaton: The issue with Diigo is that the highlights disappear when the page is refreshed, but they reappear when highlighted again. Also,when you change a highlighted color it does not take effect until the page is refreshed. This functionality is somewhat inconsistent, but it still works better than any other similar website I have tried.

Once innovative and feature-rich, it is no more updated and malfunctions on increasing number of websites. I would doubt this project is still in active development. If you are reading this review because you look for a new social bookmarking tool, beware.
