- (2023-10-26) Michael Lawler: It's great, used it for years. Unfortunately, FYI, it recently stopped working on particular pages. Even non regex plain text search coming back with zero results :/ I'm using it on Brave, Edge and Chrome and confirmed the same pages don't work across browsers. One example the `code` section within https://github.com/TryTryAgain/aws-iam-actions-list/blob/master/all-actions.txt ... that used to work, they must have changed something on the github side.

- (2023-09-17) kirbyjason: Finds both search terms, then makes them both the same color? This is no good to me at all without color differentiation. Search term1=color 1, Search term 2=color 2. I'm trying to separate the two terms and see where they appear close-together, and see where they occur far apart. I cannot do this when they are highlighted the same color. How can you go to all the trouble of writing this almost great plugin, and not have at least an option to show the terms as highlighted by distinct or different colors? "So close, so close and yet so far." -Frankie Vallie

- (2023-06-18) John Reid: Works fine for some static content, not well for dynamic content. Can't make any matches that break across different tags/nodes in the DOM, so if any of your text is in a span, has any formatting at all, etc, the search fails. So, for me, totally useless, unfortunately.

- (2022-01-09) Improved Tube: hi guys & Rshen! 🏆🥇 one of the most relevant extensions! (how in the world are there only 30.000 people using such regularily?) - we (Victor) worked on a modern successor with a color markup for our own use: ------- - - - - - ------- - - - - - ------- - - - - - ------- - - - - - ------- - - - - - ------- https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/regex/pmihaiejckejbpjdnildimfkpcpnohlo ------- - - - - - ------- - - - - - ------- - - - - - ------- - - - - - ------- - - - - - ------- (please test it. we can add the missing buttons/indicator anytime) - this is while we already fulfill wishes for 100000s of people since many years @ https://github.com/code4charity/ (this is not commercial. We actually have a principle of avoiding to doing what is done well/open already. Please check our repo and try to tell what either of us should do next https://github.com/victor-savinov/regex - Likely the projects should merge rather than walk alone (+the makers could team). Also, if you read this, consider upvoting my text, so some people read it at, as this extension unfortunately has no updates since years and no old review is more relevant anymore. ██╗. . . . . . . ██████╗. ██╗. . . ██╗. ███████╗ ██║. . . . . . ██╔═══██╗██║. . . ██║. ██╔════╝ ██║. . . . . . ██║. . . . ██║ ██║. . . ██║ █████╗ ██║. . . . . . ██║. . . . ██║ ╚██╗. ██╔╝██╔══╝ ███████╗╚██████╔╝. ╚████╔╝. ███████╗ ╚══════╝.╚═════╝. . . . ╚═══╝. . . ╚══════╝

- (2021-12-14) Benjamin Philipp: Almost there, but not quite...! I think it works reasonably well, except when contents are loaded in dynamically. In scenarios where a lot of potential hits are loaded in via XHR (XMLHttpRequest), this extension failed to find the new matches. This basically breaks the extension for content loaded in on modern sites. Could you please update it so any actual search takes the actual state of the DOM into account? Thank you for everything so far

- (2021-11-14) Stepan Zubashev: It works, but I found it useless for my cases. Because it finds something only when the whole text is placed inside a one tag as is. If some of the words within the text are wrapped by an another inline tag - this extension ignores them. It means any highlights break the search.
