The extension is a document and image converter toolbox. It converts Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Postscript, and major image formats to PDF. Converts PDF to thumbnails, text, or postscript. Converts Latex equations to image. Extracts text from images using optical character recognition OCR. Converts Latex documents to Word. Provides conversion among major image formats.
Chrome Extensions are not allowed to load local files for security purposes. Therefore, this extension is limited to converting your online files only.

- (2018-04-16) Neel Cole: the application repeatedly failed to convert any image or file type. It didn't work with links, with uploaded images, or with images online. I tried to convert .png or .jpg to a pdf to use it and that didnt work either. This app was completely useless.

I cannot begin to convey my last two hours of trying to extract text from an image and with this service I was able to do it in less than a minute. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

- (2015-04-26) Max Spiker: Time consuming to upload to Google Drive, then move back to folder. I also had to convert my word processor file to txt. it did work tho. just tedious.

- (2014-09-28) Brandon Sims: Not sure what this program is for. The only way to use documents or images from your computer is to click on another link. That takes you to a website that seems to go to a home page with products I've never heard of, so I have no clue what I'm looking for there. Pretty useless software here.

- (2013-09-04) Jeffrey Norden: This is just a limited interface to an *online* document conversion service. It can't convert any local files on your computer. Very strangely, the regular web interface will let you upload and convert a file (assuming you trust them with your data), but this extension doesn't have that feature.
