Há tempos eu não trabalho em empresas que enviam emails mal-feitos, que precisam ser corrigidos por essa extensão; por isso, parei de acompanhar as mudanças na interface do Gmail. De vez em quando, alguém envia um e-mail com algum problema ou bug, mas infelizmente não tenho mais tempo para as eventuais correções.
No entanto, ainda estou aberto a Pull Requests no GitHub do projeto, então fique à vontade para colaborar!

Já ficou incomodado com aquele scroll lateral que imagens grandes causam nas mensagens do Gmail? Tipo aqueles screenshots que seu cliente te mandou, ou aquela assinatura bonitinha que é legal pras telas wide deles, mas não para a janelinha que você usa?

Essa extensão pequena adiciona uma pequena regra ao Gmail para que as imagens sempre caibam no corpo da mensagem. Nada mais de ficar rolando o texto pra um lado e pro outro pra terminar de ler cada parágrafo!

O Gmail já possui uma lightbox que permite ver a imagem por completo, então você pode continuar clicando na imagem para vê-la inteira, como de costume :)

Shahab Zargari 2024-05-09: This is brilliant for extremely large embedded images. Downside is that all sent emojis and signature emojis look HUGE. Please update the extension to do away with this strange side effect.
Brandon Detherage 2024-04-17: This extension does what it says. It takes oversized inline images in Gmail and reduces them to a max width of 100% of the parent element's size. In other words, it fits the image on the screen so that you don't have to scroll horizontally to view the image and find the reply button. As other reviewers have noted, one significant downside is that this extension makes emojis annoyingly large. Can't you just make the max-width: 100% without changing the size of smaller images? If you could fix that I would give the extension five stars.

Bart 2023-06-30: Works fine, but an annoying side effect is that it makes emojis comically large. If I communicated with frequent emoji users I'd likely remove the extension, as I don't receive enough messages with oversized inline images to make it worth dealing with 40mm wide emojis.

J H 2023-02-01: Sadly doesn't work. My colleague on a MAC/Chrome does not have this same issue looking at the same email with large images; her desktop shrinks the images automatically. I was hoping this would fix the issue for my on a PC.

Using the side panel for previews is such a pain because if the image is larger than the panel you have to scroll over to find the reply button. This makes the images dynamic and shrinks them to fit. Simple and easy. Thank you!
